Priests are so OP in PVP

I am amazed at how good priests are in PVP. They are way to OP atm. Please nerf priests and make them less OP. They can solo kill anyone in the game and it's just not fair.

Actually if you pvp with your priest just delete him...they suck ass and even with the garbage buff Blizzard is planning they will still suck in pvp.

Run a DK, Pally, Rogue or Hunter. delete your priest if you pvp with him, they suck and will always suck at pvp. Blizzard won't do sh!t about it.

QQQQQQ...Blizzard staff play a priest so you can get your face melted by everyone you battle. Oh and 858 and 23k HP doesnt help a bit. Reduce Melee damage or seperate melee and casters in different battlegroups.

Yes, disc priests are still the healer that's easiest to kill in arena. Self-targetable Penance will help a little, but if you're incapacitated where you can't cast it does little good.

That being said, it's essential to success for a disc priest in arena that they have as partners classes that have the ability (both techniques and skill) to peel enemies off of them long enough for the priest to keep themselves up. If we partner otherwise we have none but ourselves to blame.

The nerf to hunter viper sting will help. And providing Blizzard acts on their observation that burst is still too high, DPS will be forced to stack some resilience further reducing their burst in order to gain some survivability to endure when the opponent teams healer(s) are up. I think they're heading in the right direction. If they are, priests should be able to return to a competitive status -- not necessarily an OP healer as they were, secondary only to resto druids in BC, but where they will be a viable means if properly played and partnered to success.

Heh.... Ya im amazing at 1v1 but um priests no there pretty balanced I've one every 1v1 vs a priest as a mage.... and it was a long fight each time maybe 10-30 minutes priests are fine you just need to play better feel free to ask for tips.. Dk's however need nerfs

ever thought how selfcast-penance and pain suppression while stunned helps against rogues? ma actual goal as disc is gladiator title with my freind (playing rogue) and i never felt bad about this idea... with this buff rogue+2nd dd team will just loose as they burn away their burst into painsupp...

when i play against a rogue there is only the stunlock after the vanish that kills me and with this awesome fix i think i will be even more easy.

Priest is definately NOT underpowered... no sir... just no...

(explosive shot gets nerfed too guys and ret pallies dont harm any disc when they are alone. no cc, no cs, no ms, painsupp in hoj we even won't have to use insignia any more)

I play a discipline priest, and I have no trouble in PvP. Unless I've got like, 3 or more people on me at once with no backup.

I think you just need to work on your timings and examine when and how you are using your cooldowns. Sure, hunters kinda suck to face, and death knights are death knights, but ret pally and rogue you have issues with? Those are two classes you should be able to destroy. No rogue or ret pally I've faced yet has been able to take me out 1-on-1.

I wouldn't mind looking at your setups to see if I could find some things you could fix. I don't see any real issues with disc in PvP, personally. If anything, I hear more people complaining we're nearly unkillable than anything else. Lol.

That being said, there was a time that priest were very powerful in the pvp game. They still can compete in BGs against most classes. If they are discipline they can compete in arena against most classes. They are the example of how powerful a class should be in PvP. All the classes you mentioned as being rerolled to are getting some major nerfs in 3.1 mostly because of the pvp element.

Yes a class that can kill another class before other class has a chance to even move is not oped. You have got to be kidding there. Rogues are still the most overpowered class in the game against cloth casters. DKs are second.

Pain suppression is a joke. What good is taking 40% less damage (on a cool down) going to do when you are already taking 60% more damage than a paladin healer? Not to mention that paladin healer has divine protection which is base line and is 50% damage reduction for 12 seconds (although it is on a longer cool down). There is a reason that paladin healers dominate arenas and it is because they can survive pretty much any burst if played well.

I really like my disc priest, yeah he has 22k hp and 900 res but wait...

14k mana and 115mp5 ( LOL ), pvp gear has serious mana regen ! I like to be a real tank, and being OOM after 30 sec cause there is no viable mana regen form for priest in pvp.
