Arena points reset

Hey, so apperently Arena points are reseting next season, and due to this, i wont be able to get my deadly wep, does any1 know why? or if its really happening?

Confirmed by a blue, but in the next patch you can trade 100 arena points to buy a 2000 honor point token in the underbelly in Dalaran. So if S6 isn't released the exact moment 3.1 is then you may be able to stock aload of honor points.
