Its not a very good team, not matter what specs you are. You also should focus too much on the DK silencing. Imp CS is a must for arena.

ffb pve spec would be garbage in arena. Too much cast time, not very good burst, and less cc then full frost. If anything, the DK should be frost for maxx cc, so you can maybe get a cast off.

Best setup for this may be frost spec mage with cs/torment. (20/0/51) This is just the best spec to be fr arena. Also, you have no heals, so your a lot stronger too. You've got 3 choices for the DK...

The DK can be frost for max cc, so you can get lots of shatter combos off. Maybe when you feel your over-ccing and comprimising damage because of it, the DK can switch specs, or the mage can roll arcane. Either way, it will be best to have a team member frost spec for cc reasons. You cannot nuke with ffb. It's too much cast time. If you wanted to nuke, go arcane or pvp fire(dont go fire ).

The DK can also go unholy for damage when you feel you've got too much cc and are sacraficing damage for it.

Or...

The DK can go blood. He'll be able to keep himself up due to vamp blood, rune tap, worms, and all that fun stuff.

There is a DK/frostmage team on Cenarius that is 2300. I think the DKs name is reducto... It can work though, just need to play it well. Its more about CC then it is "DK tanking and mage nuking".

A DK is a DK, and any DK comp will do well because of this.
