Armor Pen

So far I have seen almost every piece of leather gear with armor penetration on it. This sucks because bleeds already bypass armor. I can only think of 2 reasons for this:

1. Blizzard doesn't care about cat people
2. Our buff in 3.1 is so big that they have to give us useless stats on our gear to keep us from being OP

either way, it's kind of annoying that our first tier of gear is suited for us and our second tier isn't.

Its not useless, just not the most useful.

Armor pen will boost your white hits, mangles, shreds, swipes. It IS a dps increase, and come 3.1 it will be even moreso.

in 3.1 it will be even less so.

currently bleeds do about 50% of our DPS. come 3.1 with 50% crit that bleed increase by 50%. so if we're doing 4k dps now, 2k of that is done by bleeds, in 3.1 it will be 3k.

this means that 50% of your dps is from melee attacks on live, and in 3.1 it will be 40%.

I'd rather not be surrounded by a stat that only improves 40% of my DPS

come next patch armor pen will grant 25% more than it does currently, although with our bleeds critting that will counter balance it and it will only be slightly worse than it is currently.
