Is Gift of Arthas useful for a DK Tank?

Requires Level 38
Use: Increases resistance to shadow by 10. If an enemy strikes the imbiber, the attacker has a 30% chance of being inflicted with disease that increases their damage taken by 8 for 3 min. Lasts for 30 min. Guardian Elixir.

You know, i was thinking the same thing when i saw it in the AH. I know it's a bit far-fetched, but I'd like an answer to this as well.

I believe that it used to work in the Beta, but doesn't anymore. Also, it's being changed to apply a curse, rather than a disease.

I thought of this when DKs mechanics regarding diseases were announced and I'm pretty sure they fixed in in Alpha or Beta that all abilities that do damage from diseases only count your diseases, that is FF, BP, or EP.

Gift of Arthas was useful in the early alpha, that's all.
The abilities of the DKs are only working with DK's diseases.
