My Prot Pally Feels weak now :(

His Damage Shields talent is critting for 3.3k on that AOE pull. Our holy shield? ~600dmg and can't crit.

then in the end of the video he's popping every cooldown/trinket and Shield Slamming for 40k Dmg. the most i can do even with wings in PVP (on a clothie) is ~10-11k.

I feel so weak

at least my Avenger's shield still crits for almost 8k without any buffs.

you guys think Prot pallies need more buffs? lol

no and that's why. he was prolly using most if not all DPS gear with a very good DPS weapon. that's why his numbers were so high. don't worry your pally is prolly good as he is

What they have that we don't:

Gag Order: Increases Shield Slam damage by 10%
Shield Block: Increases Block Value by 100%.
Impale: Increases Crit damage bonus by 20%.

Warrior Shield Slam:
100% Block Value + 1000

Paladin Shield of Righteousness:
130% Block Value + 520

sure we get 30% more damage from block value but they get 10% more damage from talent as well as 100% more block value if they keep Shield Block up, and if it crits it does 20% more....

that is all I was getting to.

Sacred Shield
Hand of Freedom
Hand of Salvation (20% damage reduction when glyphed)
Glyph of Divine Plea (3% damage reduction)
Hammer of Justice on a 20 second cooldown (talented)
Divine Shield (irrelavent vs Warriors I guess.)
Lolheals

You can't just compare raw damage, since the object isn't so much to kill the other player as outlast/survive them. You may do less damage, but you also have way more tools at your disposal to prolong your life.

What they have that we don't:

Multiple Distance Closing abilities (which also remove movement impairing effects if talented, just like BoF), a Snare, Multiple Stuns that they can Chain, a Spell Reflect, a Dispel to remove a buff from the enemy, a Disarm, a Fear.

Not to mention Shield Bash if talented silences the enemy and if they were casting it locks that school of magic for 6secs, on a 12sec CD.
HoJ is 20sec Cooldown and locks out for 3secs, it's also the only stun we have (since no1 in their right mind would use Seal of Justice at lvl 80)

and saying "Lawl Heals" is pointless since you heal Twice and you're pretty much oom. And Warriors have a Regen ability too. Besides if we start casting a heal it'll most likely get interrupted unless we're bubbled, and bubble just delays the inevitable.

On top of that, those heals are at 50% effectiveness due to the afore mentioned Divine Plea.

I like how you think that video is a pvp video. He's attacking mobs, and he's attacking naked people from behind in duels. The numbers are great, but we don't even know what the level of his targets are.

130% BV by definition *scales* better than 100% BV. Use a different word, I don't think that one means what you think it means. Paladins can also get mods to their BV that adds to that as well. Shield block is affected by armor, shield of righteousness is not. The comparison is not 1:1. It may well be that warriors have better output from shield slam, but that video isn't your evidence.

i said they scale more because Shield Block gives them 100% more BV so they get 200% BV + 1000 dmg and we get 130% BV + 520.

in their defense Shield Block isn't up all the time.

Not that that matters in damage done, but watch again, more closely. (EDIT: 2:27 is one example) And again, while they get more BV with Shield block up, the whole number is reduced by armor mitigation. Go duel some naked folk.

Again, Shield Slam may do better than SoR, but that video isn't your evidence.
