Thoughtful discussion about possible IceCrown Citadel bosses.

Definately Arthas of course. But what else are possibilities, i know its early but im bored >.<
My thoughts on list besides Arthas
Sindragosa, his frost wyrm from the cinematic.
Undead King Ymiron
Undead Bolvar Fordragon
Possibly a Prince type boss like the week long karazhan event or from the questline in borean tundra involving Thassarian and his sister.
Mal'ganis (revealed in Icecrown that he is alive)

What are your thoughts?

You pretty much said everything I had in mind We currently have no idea what the ICC will be like; will it be a one big instance, or divided into wings, like Ulduar and Naxx? That said, we would probably see bosses from multiple themes.

One possibility is a Lich or a Necromancer, or both.. although I'm not sure how many powerful liches or necromancers there are left alive in the lore :P

I'm sure we'll get a taste of what to expect in summer or autumn.

well i can think of a couple more.

all bosses u listed are humanoid made etc with 2 arms and 2 legs (human lookalikes) eccept sindragosa.

im pretty sure there gona be abomination or undead beasts
Your greed, your foolishness has brought you to this end.

Arthas
Sindragosa
Anub´arak and Kel´Thuzad (we havent seen the last of them)
Saurfang the younger as a ghost or maybe even as a Death Knight.
Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.

Would Mal'ganis be on the Lich King's side? From what I remember, they weren't friends. So, I don't think he'd be there. He might be some weird Lich King fight helper thing... but I don't see him being a boss we have to fight to get to the Lich King.

Yeah, doesn't seem like we'll see any demons in the instance.

It could be possible that Mal'ganis or the burning legion want to settle the score with arthas as well since he may get in the way of their plans. Not saying we'll fight together against arthas, but plot can be twisted around enough that we could bump into them. I personally hope that the burning legion appears nowhere in ICC.

the way i see it, KZ is the kael'thas of wrath (potentially), so he will either be in ICC or some other instance (3.2?) as for possible bosses i got 2 major ideas..

the elven "princes" of that group of elves loyal to the lich king might lead us to believe there is a "king" of these vampire elves which can be a potential boss..

my 2nd thoughts...maybe lore wise after we kill yogg saren and the saranite supplies start running low, arthas sends hes armies to ulduar to check it out..i was thinking there could be some abomb type boss combined with titan / iron dwarf tech found by the scourge..

"Meet me in the frozen lands of Northrend, it is there that.."(From the top of my head). That's Mal'Ganis talking to Arthas. So he'll have to make his appearance somewhere, and i think Icecrown Citadel is the most likely place.

Could be possible that mal'ganis is going in IceCrown with a small army of demons to attack arthas at the same time as us, sorta like leotheras the blind going after lurker in SSC

Re: Thoughtful discussion about possible IceCrown Citadel bosses.

Hmm, found this on Wowwiki;

Encounter in Icecrown Glacier in the Onslaught HarborWhen revealing his true identity:

"I spent too much time in that weak, little shell."
"I am Mal'Ganis! I am eternal!"
Upon slaying a player:

"My Onslaught will wash over the Lich King's forces!"
"Your death is in vain, tiny mortal."
"Your time has come to an end."
When escaping:

"Enough! I waste my time. I must gather my strength on the homeworld."
"You'll never defeat the Lich King without my forces! I'll have my revenge on him, and you!"
So yeah, he's pretty pissed off with the Lich King, AND with "us".
I'm sticking with the idea of Mal'Ganis and a demon army heading for the Lich King the same time we do.
Funtimez. "... The f*ck dude, what are you doing here?"

I would say we would have something with the Cult of the Damned probably U'lhaik Hadanot and Pai Stormbringer the co-leaders of the Cult in a council like fight with the third person being Kel'Thuzad with a green crystal in his chest =P

i could see the last 10% or so of arthas being like akama with malganis + legion/arthas. kinda meh but would make sense for something like that.

You better keep Ul'haik and Pai Stormbringer away from eachother then. From wowwiki; "He secretly detests Pai and her cheerful attitude and plots to kill her and render her body so damaged with magic that she will be unable to rise as undead.".
