I am leveling my drood with S2/4 healing gear and can kill 7-8 mobs at once for about 20-30% of my mana

rotation: gather up some mobs on a mount, or use starfall and run around a bit to grab as much mobs
Use barkskin, then hurricane. If you get low on hp, typhoon the mobs away and heal yourself. But usually with my pvp gear on lvl 76 i can kill 8-9 mobs without much troubles.
Then you heal, loot, mount up and grab some more mobs.

1 problem though, your single target dps is quite crap. although 1 moonfire + insect swarm + some thorns hits (witch hit for 290 ish) will leave mobs to 10%. so 1 wrath or typhoon will kill them off.
