This is one of those "my friend has a friend whose brother's teacher's pool maintenance guy's nephew thought he remembered hearing something while he was drunk" questions. Sorry for the vagueness.
I've heard there are Horde guilds whose raison d'être is to defend Horde cities (large and small?) from Alliance aggression. Is this an urban legend? Exaggerated campfire story? Factual but defunct? If they exist, can someone point me in their direction? I'm not only talking about achievement-oriented killing of the other faction since that's assumed to be part of the game. When I was leveling I got real tired of waiting for NPCs at various outposts to respawn because some sad little dweeb with issues wanted to feel powerful by killing off NPCs 30 or 40 levels beneath him. The idea of a rapid response guild appeals to me.
