Macro (Possible to target my target focus?)

Say I focus player A, and Player A focus Player B, and player B focus Player C

Can I target Player A focus (Player B), and Player C (focus of player B)

The idea is to have a macro to FM all the mages (between 3-4 in my raid)
and Whisper everyone when FM is been cast so everyone can rebuff the rest without typing it everytime.

This macro cast FM on my Focus target and Whisper my focus that FM was cast on him

    #showtooltip
    /clearfocus [modifier:shift][target=focus,dead][target=focus,noexists]
    /focus [target=focus,noexists]
    /cast [target=focus] Focus Magic
    /script SendChatMessage("!!! You have Focus Magic !!!", "WHISPER", nil, UnitName("focus"));
And I want My macro to whisper my focus my focus-focus and my focus-focus-focus

How can you have 4 focus targets?

I don't think you can see your target's focus by any chance.

Re: Macro (Possible to target my target focus?)

May i ask why you would need such a macro anyway? (It's not possible btw)

FM is a 30 minute buff, thus doesn't need to be rebuffed every 5 minutes. So why would you want to alert someone that he just received the FM buff? Do you play any different when you have FM?

I didn't notice that our mages do. They just make arrangements when our raid begins that Mage A buffs B and vice versa, same with C and D (or A->B, B->C, C->A in case it's just three mages).

The only reason i see why you would want to recast FM is when your previous target died somehow but as you said, this is not why you asked for a macro like this.

    I'm just curious :>

How about using channels? My guild uses one channel for each class.

Re: Macro (Possible to target my target focus?)

There is a much simpler answer. (Although this macro is totally unwarranted.)

    /whisper PlayerA Recast FM
    /whisper PlayerB Recast FM
    /whisper PlayerC Recast FM

Obviously you replace "PlayerA/B/C" with the players names.

The only disadvantage is that if a new Mage is running, or if some aren't in your raid but online, you have to switch the names around. But, it's not hard.

    Edit:

I realised you want it to be part of casting Focus Magic, so you could just add that at the start.

    #showtooltip
    /cast [target=focus] Focus Magic
    /whisper PlayerA Recast FM
    /whisper PlayerB Recast FM
    /whisper PlayerC Recast FM

Because my guild tent to let mages die so I wanted to make sure that everyone get buff up after rez and all as far as making /w Player B, C, D its not a point to me since not all the time we have all the mages on so it could be 2 mages up to 4

Easiest way, just say in the channel that which ever died and they need to rebuff it

you could just get non-retarded mages who know when to keep FM up. it shouldnt be your responsibility to keep FM up except the person putting it on you and whoever you put it on.

and no, there is no way that you can see what another player's focus is.

and just get a mage channel like everyone else said, not like they are expensive or hard to set up.

    /join guildnamemage
Set targets and let the player behind the mage manage his whoppin buff? ???

If they can't do a simple task like this then clearly you should not raid with them.
