Re: How do you handle Runed Orbs?

We use a set DKP price.

When we have 6 available at the end of a raid, we ask those who have all the other materials gathered to stay in raid. The members then rolloff and the winner is charged the set price.

They go to main raiders for us, and usually the first person to have all their mats other than the orbs gets first dibs.

about the same here. we have a post on our website where you let the loot master know you need 6 AND you have the other mats.

when we get 6, whoever is top on the list and has mats gets them.

we use epgp 6 orbs costs the same as 1 piece of gear.
What do you think about the season 7 shaman set?
It looks like what would happen if one of those big rock giants from Outlands mated with Spiderman.

We normally wait until we have 18, then Auction them off for DKP at the end of the raid week(Our DKP system halves your DKP every time you win something, so it prevents DKP whoring, and also rewards getting more items, as DKP for the boss is rewarded after Loot is handed out and DKP is deducted.)

Re: How do you handle Runed Orbs?

We use a system called EPGP.

    Effort Points - 100points awarded every 15mins.

Gear Points - Each piece of loot has a set GP and when you win that item your GP increases.

Then we have what we call PR which for a normal guild using DKP is our DKP

To calculate our PR we use Effort Points divided by Gear points which equals your PR.

The officers and guild leader came to a decision that our Runed Orbs go for 25GP.

Just wow @ all these guilds intentionally nerfing their loot progression. Orbs = loot, and require guild members to pay gold for loot is a great way to stifle your own progression.

"But it funds our guild bank repairs!" -- No it doesn't. Spending 6000g for orbs just makes one person foot the bill for everyone else's repairs. Might as well disable guild repairs and give the orbs for free, it nets the same cost in guild which is all that should matter for a progression guild. Guild bank money has to come from outside sources, otherwise you gain absolutely no benefit.

Hand them out however you like, but don't be stupid and slow your guild down because your best dps happens to be too poor to get 6k gold to buy orbs he helped earn.

Wanna fill the coffers of your Gbank? That's what all the garbage BoE epics are for! Those are rarely an upgrade versus nearly best in slot runed orb items.

Loot council, ofc we use DKP for everything else, but we have a thread on our forums where people request 6 orbs for a certain item, and then we officers basically decide who to give the item to, wether we need to gear our tanks/dps/healers at this point.

The people whom recieve the runed orbs lose DKP equal to the cost of a standard item in Ulduar, it is afterall what they are getting, and ulduar item

Whenever we get 6 we roll them off, winner pays 50dkp and must have the item for next raid.

We bid on them, like normal items, and you get the amount needed.
