Can NP protect a lock from more than one spell element type at a time?

Yes, providing you are (un?)lucky enough to get hit by two schools within 8 seconds, enough so to proc 30% twice.

Forstfire bolt. Does it protect you against frost AND fire damage? Furthermore will it decrease damage taken by 60%?

Frostfire is considered fire I believe, and will hence only protect your fire school.

Second cast: <Frostfire bolt does math> Frost will do more damage, so Frost Damage. You gain nether protection
Third cast: <Frostfire bolt does math> Fuck it, they're the same. Fire damage.

And seriously, what are you doing standing there for 3 casts?!?
