Well,im on horde side,


and now im thinking about making a warrior,allot of people say take orc but,
i have an 80 shaman orc and i want another race now


so whats better for pvp/pve sides

no real point in making an undead warrior.
tauren is def still the pve tank, i believe. stun is nice in pvp?!

id go orc for pvp, if you want to take a second look at that

If you like hairy walking balls with hoofs go tauren.

Really,Wotf is never ''useless'' for a warrior ,with so many ppl that can fear around + when you use enraged regen(requires enrage effect) how are you going to escape that fear? and no, trinket is for serious cc or last resort.

can someone please explain to me why anyone would want an undead warrior for...anything?

the most you'll ever suffer is a 5 second fear. if the target is snared, theyre not getting away

Take what you think look best, otherwise you are just getting tired of the model-skin... That's what i did with gnomes.

Anyway m8 ,it all comes to what ''feels'' better for u,go make a war at all races and see what animation fits u best,orc girls got nice moves,if u know what i mean.

ok well, let us rationally compare instead.

pvp orc: stun resist (valued), axe spec (valued), racial ap "trinket" (valued)
pve dps orc: axe spec (valued), racial ap trinket
pve tank orc: axe spec, stun resist (on occasion)

pvp undead: shadow resistance (on occasion), wotf (on occasion)
pve undead: shadow resistance (on occasoin)

pvp tauren: stun, hp bonus, nature resistance (on occasion)
pve dps tauren: stun (on occasion)
pve tank tauren: hp bonus (valued), stun (on occasion), nature resistance (on occasion)

for pvp, troll > undead, troll = tauren. something like that.

I'd like to add that wotf may seem good for pvp, and it is for other classes, but warriors have enough fear breaks as it is and it is better to be an orc for the stun decrease which would be used more.

Well it's not that simple as you want to portrait it.

Also have cannibalize,won me more games than i can count,especially if u don't have mage in the team.Also the impressive Water breathing 10min! beat that.

Anyway if you have to choose between undead and tauren, pick tauren, at least you will have some more hp and the aoe stun which is useful sometimes.

OK ,plz read what i wrote i or at least learn warrior mechanics before posting

For your eyes only: When you use enraged regen a)uses one enrage buff(wrecking crew,enrage,berserker rage) and b)makes you unable to use any such buff for the duration....meaning NO u cant go pressing berserker rage button and it's even worse if u used berserker rage as ur enrage buff to begin with.

one more point, undead look hunch over with bones sticking out. Would you rather see some anorexic chick as your toon, or a hot orc chick with a six pack. Remember you will probaly waste months of your life on this charecter

It really does come down to what you want to look like, and what skins you do/don't want to play. Myself, I played an orc warrior. I chose him because he looked the best to me, not skinny twig carrying big weapons, and not a massive block of pixilated cheese (tauren). I liked the stun resitance, the axe racial and blood fury. They have all served me well in pve and pvp. And the way tanking works now, bloodfury is helpful a bit now as well.

For pve and pvp I'd have to say tauren is the winner. And between the two I'd recommend tauren again for looks. However female undead does have nice animations (front flip when she does special attacks) but other than that tauren all the way. They look pretty bad ass in armor

To those saying Tauren are still best for PVE I don't see how. At most you are looking at about 40-50 stam extra. This is the ONLY advantage Tauren have. They WERE the best in vanilla and BC, but since 3.0 they have taken the sidelines to the ultimate PVE race -

Orcs. Just amazing bonuses for PVE.

- +5 free expertise for using an axe is amazing for DPS or Tanking. Current itemization favors swords at the moment, but the next tier is coming. Last tier Orcs really shined from Last Laugh and Betrayer of Humanity.

- Hardiness is 15% reduced stun that stacks with Iron Will. Off the top of my head, I can't think of too many encounters where there are stuns, except Thorim's arena. There are however trash mobs that do have stuns, and even though nobody cares about trash it will still make it easier. In the past and the future there have been and will be bosses with stuns as well.

- Blood Fury is 322 AP at 80, which may not seem much, but you can stack it with trinkets, is off the GCD, only a 2 minute CD, and doesn't MS you anymore. Free damage just for rolling Orc!


The benefits IMO far outweigh Tauren at least.

A closer competitor (from a PVE perspective only) would be Trolls.
