    clos <silence> vanish

Naaab question incomming here. I dont know weather I'm imagining things or not but does this work?

I can't say Ive ever seen it on my rogue as i meet so few shadowpriests.

    What exactly does Silence, Silence?

Is it possible to silence a rogue casting Vanish after a clos?

I swear I've pulled this off a couple of times in the last few days but it could well have been other aoe or spells getting through clos.

Please tell me I'm not imagining things! :-p

Or is it only possible to silence a magic school cast..?

    Cheers.

I know it stops spells, and shouts, but not abilities like melee attacks or magical strikes like Frost Strike. No idea about Vanish.
I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us.

Yeah, I might have to go recruit a rogue to duel and try find out.

I could swear blind though that on several occasions ive thrown a silence at a recently clos'd rogue and they have failed to vanish. I know i never bother closing unless ive got a vanish ready. It may just be spells getting through clos however.

At any rate, Silence is a magical effect, so even if it did work on vanish, you'd still only have 10% chance of landing it after a CloS

You can't use any DK abilities, except for obliterate or blood strike while silenced(Pretty sure, may be wrong)
However you can't use frost strike.

Oh and, silence stops everything that has a cast time basically, and instant magic strikes, spells.
No physical melee type of things. It doesn't stop divine shield though, school lockouts do.

Frost Strike on my DK still works when I am silenced.

Things you can use while silenced:
DK: Blood Strike, Heart Strike, Obliterate, Frost Strike, Scourge Strike, Plague Strike, Presence-Dance
(all others are considered spells, so a silence severly rapes a DK of everything than base damage abilities)

Paladin: Divine Protection, Crusader Strike, Divine Storm

Things you can't use while silenced:
Warrior: Taunt, Challenging Shout, Battle Shout, Commanding Shout, Piercing Howl
(the only stuff you can silence)

    Rogues: none

Hunters (IIRC): Pet-Rez, Pet-Heal, Eyes of the Beast, Farsight (forgot the hunter name)
