    SoC vs Socorr/veg

    Anyway lets do some theories.

    * Seal of Vengeance and Seal of Corruption: These seals have been redesigned to deal substantially more damage. Now, once a paladin has 5 copies of the debuff from these seals on his or her target, on each swing the paladin will deal 33% weapon damage as Holy, with critical strikes dealing double damage.

ok so say you do 100 damage every swing witha 2h(easy number)
you stack up 5 dots doing 10 damage every 3 seconds so to speak.

Once it reaches 5 stacks you start doing 100 damage +33 damage from 5 specs( and if crit the damge is doubled to 100+66) plus the dot doing 10 damage per 3 second.

Now Seal of Command= Seal of Command: Redesigned. This seal now deals 36% weapon damage on every swing, and deals substantially less judgement damage.

so basically 36% weapon damage every swing

So 100 damage every swing +36 damage=136 compared to the 133 to Seal of V/C but compared to SoV/C the dot effect will surpass the damage brought from Seal of Command.

Now if you had 15% increase from seals of the pure, you get from 100+33(66 form crit). To 100+ 37.5( 75.9) if crit and done every time if 5 stacks r up.

IN conclusion it seems as if the damage done from SoV/C will surpass SoC easily. And if you think about it Both the Seal of V/C damage can crit as wella s SOC.

Also another note: Seal of Command: Redesigned. This seal now deals 36% weapon damage on every swing, and deals substantially less judgement damage.

While SoV/C judgement damage stays the same + the 15% form talents..

    what do u guys say
    which is the primary choice.

    Re: SoC vs Socorr/veg

From a PvE viewpoint, this is hardly a debate. Seal of Blood/Martyr were somewhat merged into Seal of Corruption/Vengeance. That being said, SoCorr/Venge will be the PvE seal without a question. Plus, if they don't change the glyph, those who are struggling to get expertise can get 10 free expertise.

For PvP, I'd say Seal of Command, just because it'd seem to be a pain stacking the SoCorr/Venge DoT 5 times on the target before actually getting to do real damage. But we'll have to wait for the PTR...

    Re: SoC vs Socorr/veg

but the damage difference between the 2 will be huge.

SoV may have to be the choice because the damage output from palaldins has to be increased in some way. the 15% from seals of the pure will add up and sicne SoC judgment dmg was reduced by a HUGE ammount apprently we must get something in return.

    besides 5 stacks.
white dmg, divine storm, crusader strike. 3 stacks right tehre in 4.5 seconds. aint that big of of a deal imo.

    Re: SoC vs Socorr/veg

Blizzard itself said that SoC will be for pvp and SoCorr will be for Pve.
Simply fact: While on a static boss stack 5 SealofCorr will be easy, on a pvp scenery with dispeller, movement and cc will be hard to keep them up on target.
In the end SoCorr does more damage then SoC but it's harder to apply and keep up.

A portion of people will still pvp with SoV tho, the double crit dmg is too much to pass up on.

Why is this topic made? Can't you people make a notebook or use your heads or read some other kids post?
Bornakk"Increasingly it felt like someone playing against a Ret-Pally really only had 60% of their health bar because Vindication took away 20% from the start and then Hammer of Wrath kicked in when they had 20% left. This change was something we could confidently hotfix and would have a minimal to no impact on the PvE side of things. "
    VINDICATION TAKES 20% HEALTH /facepalm

Though obviously SoV is the new PvE DPS seal, I think on trash or AoE (Razorscale adds?) SoC will still be useful... be worth the talent point anyway.

dont forget you can spec into seals of the pure for 100+33x1.15

Well considering that in a great part of trash packs what you do is nuke everything down ( with a few exceptions) , do we rly have the time to apply 5 stacks? So it seems to me that we'll be changing seals between trash packs and bosses.

But then again im not so informed about this.

Edit: Sry i didnt notice that part where it says this thread is about pvp ^^
