Re: Do I have equal right to cloth items as cloth wearers?

You may, if everyone in the raid..or just the raidleader agrees. If not? Bad luck, you can wear leather anyway.
    Just my POV.

If you asked me this as elemental shaman i would have said yes you can need as they almost got no loot for them out there.

As for druids i think they got enof loot on the loot table to be fair enof to pass on cloth, i could be rong about this one though...just trying to look on loot table wise.

I won't say yes or no directly because it is your own choice, if you are able to need on cloth and you want to...than just do it and dont think about some clothies whiners (90% mage QQ from my personal expirience). In a raid you are still with 10-25 players who work together for a goal, seems only fair that if it is a awesome upgrade for you that you have same rights on that item.
(Keep in mind to check loot tables wether or not the item will be equiped for a while on you...you are a lootwhore if you need just because you can, if they let you need it better be for the right reasons.)

My answer is same for a PUG as it is for a guild run: ask if anyone else needs it. If it's cloth and a mage/warlock/priest needs it too, let them have it. Otherwise, NEED away.

Loot is just loot, if you're improving a players' gear to improve their raid performance then your raid still benefits, who gives a crap about armor type? - For example, shamans can't upgrade their boots from naxx (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40237) unless they get the best in slot hard mode cloth ones (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45537), if you say that you *could* get a different pair (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45513) then you have no idea about ele shamans :P as the naxx ones are better. It's the same with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45488. I'd do some druid caster gear but i tend to not heal or go boomkin on my druid ^^ but the same applies - if it's a definate good upgrade then go for it, if it's a side grade rather than an upgrade, let other people get it first. Blizzard made different types of armor gear so you would in hard numbers be harder to kill, via physical damage. Iirc the only physical damage that DPS in a raid should be taking is from the rock mobs from kologarn if they're being a tool and standing next to them. - And you shouldn't really be wearing PvE items in PvP.

blizzard lets druids wear both cloth and leather its not your fault that there is so many more times the amount of cloth gear then leather..

if its better then yours take it...

but usually only take cloth if its like best in slot item or if u wont replace it for a long time.

Yes, you have equal rights. They choose to be a cloth wearing class, deal with it!
You get the same use of it as they do, its not like you care about how much armor you get from it >_>
I've no idea what to write here.
