Generally when it comes to Topaz, less is more. Just something to consider.

It's funny because overuse looks messy, but if you go for a lighter use there's virtually no difference between Topaz and a simple sharpen effect. On a sig scale that is.

Mmm, not from what I've seen. The thing I like about it is that it smooths out the ugly edges, which sharpen doesn't do. It actually makes them worse.

This is for a guildsite forum signature, theremnant-guild.com. I'd really like to have the paladin blocking (character on left side, shown at least half the body) with some sort of darkness effect on the outside of the shield, and the character radiating light from behind the shield. You guys do amazing work and I cant wait to see what you come up with if you get to mine! I appreciate all that you do!

That depends on the scale you use. I make them two or three times larger and then after I've finished I resize them. I expect it'd look different if you used the effect on an already downsized sig.

Pose: If possible, I would like to have one side resto casting a heal. On the other side have him ready to attack as enhance. I would like to have them facing each other as if it was good vs evil.
Color scheme: Blue and red.

Also if it is possible have a wave or water on the resto side, and red lightning on the enhance side.

yea my current signature is my 1st and i used a guide from caiti as a basis and played around for a few hours on mine. it did take me a while to get the hang of it but i managed to get it done

I'd say overall it's extremly well done for a first try. All credit for that!
I do however agree with Eruionmel as far as the Topaz goes - less is more, and it's very easy to overdo those effects.

Well, in the end everything is really about personal taste. I can only speak for myself, but I'm very gently with the use of Topaz and rather leave the entire effect out instead of overwhelming the signature.
Some go all out on Topaz since they like the style it creates, some just use it instead of the sharpen tool. There's no right or wrong.
