Dodge nerf for bears IN 3.2

Agility: The amount of agility required per percentage of dodge has been increased by 15%. This change required recalibrating the amount of dodge a player has with 0 agility by a slight amount as well, so all players will see their dodge percentage vary a small amount.

Dodge Rating: The amount of dodge rating required per percentage of dodge has been increased by 15%. This is before diminishing returns. Combined with other changes, this makes dodge rating and parry rating equally potent before diminishing returns apply.

Parry Rating: The amount of parry rating required per percentage of parry has been reduced by 8%. This is before diminishing returns. Combined with other changes, this makes dodge rating and parry rating equally potent before diminishing returns apply. Parry still diminishes more quickly than dodge.

    hooray.

Is there any reason for this, really? I feel like Bears are just getting kicked around, but because we're getting new skins after four years we just have to smile and say thank you. I mean, I understand that maybe Deathknights are getting a little bit too far ahead in avoidance, but are Druids really that far ahead? We're getting a double nerf to our dodge, and I don't feel like it's warranted.

Could someone on the PTR console me? Or is this just bullshit through and through?

Im thinking its more along the lines of a stamina nerf if you think about it, most druids were stacking/leaning more toward stam gearing because they could get away with it easily. Now with the nerf to dodge theyll have to stack agi/lean more towards dodge to be able to compete lowering overall stam. With the upcoming tier, druids would just blow all the other tanks away, hell im already at 44% avoidance and 40k hp unbuffed. To be fair, i havent checked the PTR so im not sure if adding more dodge will remedy the situation or if its even worth it.

I can see people taking it the other way Smokez, since since agi gives us even less and stam is staying the same they will go stuff it and just socket stam and we will be reverted back to a mana sponge (but me in sticking with agi regardless)

I'd love it if they bumped Natural Reaction up by 1% per rank, or maybe increase Protector of the Pack by 1%.

    Le sigh.

Does anyone have an exact number on the base dodge change?

Re: Dodge nerf for bears IN 3.2

We are ahead of the other tanks in terms of health? If i remember correctly, i read a post by the druid tank from Ensidia (can't remember her/his name), they stated that by stacking pure stamina in their gear, they were only just even with the DK tank and other tanks if not she was just ahead by a few hundred health while they still had a greater amount of avoidance and their armor was almost even with hers/his.

Idk, we could have been changed since then (this was her comment on druids on the 3.1 Ulduar* ptr) but it seemed like our health wasn't that huge so we were now relying on our dodge more, and now they are reducing that aswell?

Seems odd but i tank as dps spec so i have substainaly less dodge, armor and mitigation then if i was bear spec so maybe i just think its worse then it really is because of that lol

Its more than "a few hundred health". With BiS gear stam gems, 2 stam trinkets (+ raid buffs) a feral druid sits ~5k higher than the nearest rival because we still scale the best with stam out of all the tanks but if we go that way our avoidance is the lowest.

Just jumped on the PTR to compair my dodge. Live: 44.32% PTR: 42.05%

Still, other tanks have move avoidance than us, and 5k is like, what, one block?

Currently they block ~1300 without going out of their way to collect a block set next patch with the change it will be alot more, will ask around on the ptr tonight.

Uh you can block 5k? since when.
When people say "pls" just because its shorter then "please", I feel totally justified to say "No" just because its shorter then "Yes".

They're doubling all the block value on items in the next patch, so it should go up substantially

No it won't. Most warriors are going to get about 100-150 block value out of this, so it won't change anything. And blocking shouldn't be considered any realistic type of avoidance as it only amounts to around 1-3% of total mitigation overall.

    No.

You likely wont see normal blocks above 3k. With cooldowns though, 5k might be possible.
Nom Nom Nom [NNF] (2 points) - When you Ferocious Bite a target at or below 25% health, you have a 50/100% chance to instantly refresh the duration of your Rip on the target.

I wasn't comparing it to avoidance, I was actually comparing it to the "about 5k more health" we have in BiS Stamina gear compared to other tanks.

5k would be a rare 'crit' block I'd get with shield block up, normally it's around 2k at most. Just putting that whole avoidance thing out there because most people who have no idea about block mechanics always revert to block for warriors and paladins as viable mitigation.

I think druids are pretty well balanced compared with the other tanks, and this nerf isn't so bad, just kind of finishing things up imo. Definitely nothing like the DK nerfs, which are needed.

Re: Dodge nerf for bears IN 3.2

Remember, in BiS STAMINA gear, our avoidance would be a lot lower already.

From a PTR-tankadin, I'm going to gain 63 static block value on my gear. If what they've said about durations holds true, then I currently have about a 50% uptime on 225 from my tier set proc, and 352 from my libram. Both of those will become a 100% uptime.

The durations are fantastic. The gear gain is next to none. It'll help threat, mostly, unless the bosses begin to hit weaker. I doubt that, though. I've yet to kill Yogg-25 (I blame short raid hours; semi-casual group) but have decent gear; see armory under this name, Feathermoon-US. Just giving some info to help :>

EDIT:: Numbers: 1400 sustained, no procs. Both procs kicks me up to about 2100, which will be roughly the new sustained. That's in a 10man.
