Armor pen for kitty form

Long time TANK now starting some kitty dps. Rawr shows Agi > arm pen but i was wondering if it's including the new buffs to armor pen? Anyone actually have the MATH rather than I know ti's greater cause I say so?

rawr is correct, agi > arpen unless you have an arpen trinket and more than about 250 passive arpen.

Put on pure ArP gear and full raid buffs, it should say ArP > Agi.

I only use rawr to play around with gear choice. Compare my stats with different gear on and play around with gems. Besides that I don't trust the gear listing on rawr.

How do you compare stats if you don't trust its model evaluation? I'm curious, because it seems completely illogic.

Stats are very dependent on your gear. In one set of gear armor pen will be better than agi, in other sets agi might be better.

Must be about the 5th time i've explained this on this forum.

If you can hit 240 arm pen with gems etc go for it. If you can't stick with agility. Also arm pen doesn't become insane till around 400 with a arm pen trink in addition (you wanna hit 80-100% pen on proc) i.e. grim toll and that thorim hardmode one (forget name meh)
Once past 240 arm pen use the shred idol from badges over the rip one.
Loads of kittys swap into arm pen and wonder why they aren't topping meters. This is because its only a viable option at high geared endgame, Like DKs going blood dps or hunters going MM. Unless you have access to the gear, then don't do it. You want to swap out all your agility gems without dropping under 50% unbuffed crit which requires pretty nice gear to start with.

For some numbers:
On single target 25man fights with agility set up i was doing about 5k-8k. After going full arm pen I now do 7.5k-12k. Bit of a massive jump imo. So if you have the gear go for it, if not don't.

I shortly resocketted my dpsgear's agi to full armor pen, at mimiron 10-man normal mode, i did 4.5-5k with only 30% armor ignore, now i got 35% but had a pvpspec so... couldn't really check this time.

But my dps with agi went from: 3.8-4.1k to 4.5-5k dps. Peaking at 5.5+k.
Shreds crit for 9-10k, ferobites (if i use them which i hardly do) crit for 14-14.5k so yeah.. worth it.

Long story short: Arp efing ROCKS!

It really isn't that far of a stretch if he has the gear and buffs for it. I was pulling 4.85k consistently on General with ALL (not some, ALL) Naxx 25 Gear or lower and Armor Pen gems (and I don't even have grim toll yet) (I'm so far behind in gear due to a 2.5 month unintended break from WoW when Ulduar patch hit). I'd probably believe a dps reaching almost that high.

You believe naxx25 gear -> ulduar gear more than doubles your DPS? I think against non-gimmick bosses (hodir/yogg with keepers etc) feral caps out at like 8.4k dps when in best in slot gear.

Anyway, when I changed from mostly agi to mostly armor pen, I went from ~4k on the target dummy to about 4.3k, without any buffs.

I'm not sure it would double, but quite frankly I'm not in all Naxx 25 gear. I have like 3 ilevel 200 items and no Grim Toll.

The different buffs you get makes a difference too, like whether you blood dk is willing to give you, the best candidate, Histeria, how fast your raid kills a boss, etc etc.

in short... you should have 55% crit buffed to ensure good CP "regen" (dont know how to call it) then start stacking ArP
