Why everyone who supports the drake change is retarded

For months now Blizzard was saying that these drakes are the "gladiator mounts" for PvE. And it's fine, it works that way. I don't do PvP at all and my chances of getting a gladiator mount are zero.
Why then shouldn't I, who puts even more time and effort into PvE than you, am more skilled in PvE than you and pay this game just as much as you do, been playing it for much longer than you did, have an item for prestige that you can't have?

Why should only PvPers have items that make them uniquely recognizable in the crowd?

And don't give me the "It'll still be hard!" bullshit. It'll get overgeared and you will get the drake by just zerging the instance.

It's not fair and you know it. I don't care if you couldn't get any last attempts in the last 2 weeks, you shouldn't have waited for so long. I don't care if your guild just formed, an arena team that formed 2 weeks before season end can't get a gladiator mount realistically either.

This change is retarded, and so is everyone supporting it.

I think its something like less than .3% of the raid population have these mounts, while at least .5% (probably more because you can get them from from 2s 3s and 5s) of the PvP population have the arena mounts. Therefore, they should stay in game until they are more closely equal in terms of how accessible they are. 2.3k doesn't take nearly as much "skill" as 2.5-2.6k (and beyond), but that doesn't stop blizzard from handing out equal rewards to them, just like those who get the hard mode mounts when you have ulduar gear will ride the same thing as those who do the hard modes in colieseum gear.

Anyways, don't kid yourself about the hard modes, they're not that hard at all; FL4, XT, Steelbreaker, Hodir, and Thorim hard modes are PuG'd regularly on my server - the other hard modes would probably be knocked out in PuGs too if it didn't take so long to get that deep, so get the f*** off your high horse.

I think Blizzard has a predetermined picture of how or what percentage of guilds and drakes they want out there. And it seems, at this point, that we are not even close to that goal.

Thus this announcement is most likely the reason for it. Not only is 3.2 probably at least a month away if not longer, but they said they'll give a months notice. Thus we're looking at a month or 2 after 3.2 comes out minimum before drakes get removed.

If I had to guess, I'd say Blizz will announce the removal about a month after 3.2 comes out.

I went casual, I didn't put enough time and effort in for the Ulduar drake, and therefore there's no reason why I should get it. Same as with the previous GotR mounts.

I was very well aware how it sounded when I wrote it.
But sometimes I really do get pissed off. I play this game for 4 years. I've put my time into raiding when you were considered a social outcast for doing so. I invested years into this game and it'd be stupid to say it didn't mean something to me.
And for all these years all I get is a big cock up my ass. Over and over again.
The game is easy enough as it is. Leave it some dignity.

You know what would be awesome? If they replaced the drakes with some other 280% ones. That's a change I could get behind. Leave the incentive to do the achievement but award the hard working players.

Rusted, sure alot of people will have since all the "hard" modes are very easy only possible difficult ones are yogg mimir and vezax and they just take a few attempts.

Ironbound not as many guilds will get this even with 3.2 gear.

If its about keeping 310 flyers rare then look at the holiday proto it looks so much better then rusted and about as good as ironbound and evryone ,even 80s in greens, will get one.

It's like seeing someone these days with Sulfuras or Thunderfury... You're not sure whether it's a "legit" legendary or just a showoff made after WotLK. The only "mark" for a dedicated vanilla player seems to be the scarab lord title and pre-TBC Naxx gear.

It's not about that. It's about the specific 2 drakes, Iron-Bound and Rusted... Or even just Iron-Bound if you will. Those should always remain a mark for a player who performed to their maximum in a given PvE "season", just like gladiator mounts, and I have yet to see a normal argument as to why that shouldn't be the case.

Trivial for someone who knows what to do, and 10/25 people who know what to do. After the patch (Or in 3.3, doesn't matter), it'll become faceroll, not trivial.

In 1 year almost everyone but dks will get a 310% speed proto drake. The seasonal one, so it's not a big deal.
And btw blizard stated that they will remove the drakes when gear lvl will be too much OP.
