I downloaded it because a friend of mine recommended and i can say you are a complete brainles kid if you need it. Imo if anyone needs a addon to help them increase i consider them partly botting...you are not playing yourself but the addon is doing it for you.

I find it really useful for the "Maelstrom Weapon" bar/timer function, says how many charges you have on a pink bar on your screen, flashes when you have 5 stacks and makes an annoying noise every 4 secs or so when fully charged until you use a spell, find it easier than looking at the buffs in the top right to see when i have 5x Stacks. Saved me in pvp many times.

Well.. i personly use it to track Maelstrom Weapon charges and Lightning shield.
apart from that i can easy do without it

This. And its useful for keeping track of Magma Totem too.

    Power Auras ftw!

Yeah, PowerAuras rocks... helpful for so many classes that get random buffs that don't have anything for graphics to show that they've gotten the buff.

I use AzCastbar with the shaman and totem plugins to cover most of SAA's function. Almost all the same things, a fraction of the memory usage.

I modified the totem plugin to only show searing and magma and I modified the shaman plugin to hide out of combat, and when in a vehicle. The shaman plugin does flash and play a sound on 5-stack

i used to use it religiously but as i advanced and got more used to my rotation in hectic raids and started to make my UI more invisible i got more used to it and now i basically just have the display box with the MS charges on the bottom for that purpose and to hear the ping on LB readyness nothing more.
It's a great addon and any ENH shammy w/out is is a fool :P

shield reminder needs to be bigger or more flashy, can get lost in the heat of a battle. MW warning is nice, dont have to focus on buffs at top of screen, battle in middle, and cds at bottom. kudos to Levva, he invented the enh sham practically, at least on mmo.

I use SAA primarily for the maelstrom weaponx5 sound reminder--probably the best function the addon has

Yes dps will be better if you learn to use your priorities properly. What is it you find wrong? What dps are you currently doing? Try to be constructive and I might be able to help.

Constructive criticism is helpful and I'd gladly try to improve the addon. However I do take pleasure in knowing that the top Enh Shammy in Ensidia recommends players use ShockAndAwe and that literally well over a hundred of player have emailed me to say thanks for what they typically describe as an "awesome" addon.

This is usually because they learn the priority from using it and it helps remind them of things. Once you get used to doing stuff you can customise it and reduce the amount of info it gives you. Thats a big part of its success its very flexible in what you can configure it to tell you.

    Re: ShockandAwe worth it?

Currently in top guild in BS - EU, usually in top 5 dps, ofc it depends on fights.
I use it and love it. Tried other options but found SAA more confortable and simple. I guess Powerauras is also a v. good alternative, tried it, but came back to SAA.
In all the mess some fights can be for melee, those simple bars are handy. Mainly use it to keep track of mael and shield.

I use it and I love it and probably won't ever play without it until Levva stop developing it and it becomes broken to death.
Yeah? Well, too bad. I did it anyway.

ShockAndAwe provides you visual and audio cues to alert you to what abilities should be best used. It DOES NOT and CANNOT activate any abilities for you. It provides information. If having extra information is in your mind botting then you have seriously no clue what botting actually is.

the sound alert on MSW was way to slow on my system so i lost alot of time on MSW... (im very dependent on the sounds hehe) thats why is swaped to power auras and have that task only to meake the noice =))

what I did to solve that, altough my computer isnt slow :P, was to put warning sound on 4th stack. Usually when I hear i know in the next 3 sec someone is getting fried... ;D

Yes and you are probably guessing what time is it by position of sun/stars- clock is a witchcraft!SAA helps to track and optimize usage of your abilities to achieve maximum dps, yes after a while you can do without it since you get so used to it, but I prefer not bashing my keyboard for those last couple of seconds when I would feel one or another spell should be ready till actually casting it.
I don't have nothing against people who refuse to use addons- I do use them, just like I use my watch to find out what time is it instead of my intuition.

    Re: ShockandAwe worth it?

No, I don't use it. I'm usually pretty adept at noticing my buffs and cooldowns. Although, I accidentally turned it on once (I have it installed but disabled) so I thought I'd mess around with it in an actual boss fight. I found it to be a little too much and I disabled it again after that fight.
