Some Info on frost specc

Since the patch came out everyone been busy in all 5 man heroics, i went there as TTW and notice that i cant beat other ppl on DPS overall dmg is ok but DPS is pretty low about 2-3.5k. I decided to try something unique gone frost build of my own design and i was amazed frost is easily beating everyone on DPS and overall dmg this is the build i used http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?mage...&version=10192 it can easily get you to 4-6k DPS in 5 man heroic, still haven't tried it on something more challenging but i think its getting pretty close to arcane and fire builds a few more patches and maybe finally we can say goodbye to the boring fire tree.

All numbers were done on Boss fights, trash DPS and overall isn't included.

your frost may be doing more in 5 mans than YOU used to do as fb/ttw but it is not the way to go, you should be fb/ttw and just living bomb everything. if youre crazy about better dps on bosses, arc is the way to go, the fights are so short you will be able to spam AB non stop on them which will really throw you ahead in dps

spell impact doesnt help much at all since u shouldnt be using ice lance or cone of cold on bosses

EDIT: frostbite and imp. blizzard is for AoE purposes

as far as the damage you claim? i call bs as well... screen shot or it didnt happen

on my ptr mage i could do that much as totw with only my self buffs on a training dummy... there is NO reason that you should be doing less than frost unless you dont know what youre doing

If you want to do "crazy" damage in heroics than just spec FFB or TTW/fire and pickup the aoe talents in the fire tree. (blast wave, dragon breath, instant flamestrike). And this way you'll still have a decent 25m boss spec.

if u want a high dps frost spec for single and aoe dmg then go with this spec:
