102k CoD and I pulled aggro and died cuz im bad : ( not to mention I had the buff again as the CoD hit and I was spamming 60k critts back to back. Didnt think CoD would crit so high but I guess I casted it while I had crit buff.

Im finding at hard to believe these 70k+ crits from warlocks. Im destro with about 2.9k sp 25 man buffed and I have only crit for about 55k. How much SP do you guys have, please shed some light on what im doing wrong with the buffs from the encounter? Or was you making your e-peen massive by trying to make people think you have about 5-6ksp raid buffed?

Its not really that hard to reach huge amounts of SP for a small amount of time, I have easily 3k+ spellpower with fully 25man raid buffed (Im sitting at 2842 with only fel armor up), now add to that stuff like Dying Curse proc (+765 SP) and Abyssal Rune proc (+590 SP) and whatever other procs ppl might have, ie tailoring cloak enchant...

So yeah, those 70k+ crits are easily doable, not some epeen shit, you just need to realize that those numbers aren't something you're making the full duration of the encounter, ofc you're gonna average to somewhere 35-40k depending on how much RNG loves you.

well 2.9k raid buffed seems really low, you can easily have at least 500sd more from 25man gear

We dont have a Ele shammy in guild, only with that as off spec so there always healing or there alts. If we had one I would have more sp

For a warlock properly talented and glyphed, 80-90k is easily doable.

In full iLvl 226/239 (along with 4 pc T8.5, 1 pc T9) and about 3.1k spell damage with fel armor up (about 3.8k with raid buffs, before procs), insane crits are nornal. Everyone seems to forget how much stacking goes into CBs and CFs: +100% crit damage from talents stacks with +130% crit damage from buff, which in turn stacks with Pyroclasm, Fire & Brimstone, Empowered Immolate (for CF only), glyph of Immolate, etc. etc. By the time you're done adding it all up and factoring in bonuses, you're going to get some insanely high numbers.

And if you're only hitting 55k, my first question is: are you hit capped? Because the only things that would explain such low numbers are (1) being in blues, (2) not having CoE or a comparable ability on the boss, or (3) partial resists from not being hit-capped. Of course, if you're in 25 Ulduar and still in blues...that's a whole other issue. If you're raid hasn't figured out that you should have a CoE like debuff on the boss...bigger problem. So...that leaves hit cap....

CoD is definitely considered a damage over time. My proof? Triggering Molten Core when neither coa or corruption is up.

Full Hodir buffs, Demo Lock with everything popped and proced giving us a 450 SP demonic pact, full raid buffs, Pyroclasm, on a trinket'd Immolate, with Vigilence and Tricks of the Trade.

Edit: 4 rogues and 2 hunters means that threat is not a problem for the tanks, and I pay my rogues well
