From Wrath of the Lich King beta. It was removed because you had the possibility in Azeroth to go places you should not be going.

Reason for removal is now gone as you have flying mounts in Azeroth as the whole world is re-done.

Eh, I don't remember this post...doesn't really matter. While not very useful, if it pleases people to participate and keeps the forum active, I don't have a problem with it...unless a good number of people ask for it to be locked/deleted (more likely).

Blizzard has already stated, they aren't planning on adding any new talents across the board. And, the reason that they cut the talent wasn't because warriors could go where they weren't allowed...it was the same reason why charge/intercept and vanish are bugged, the latency made it simply too buggy.

Think the point blizz made about the whole heroic leap thing made alot of sense. As they cant make it in a way so its freely targettable but not a giant exploit or just a "throw yourself through the world" button. Do wars rly need just another charge?

Leaping after a target after doing heroic throw would make sense xP

What about Throwing you wep(s) more like a boomerang(s) to a location making a aoe damage then leaping after them stunning? :P uhm... nvm would be impossible to use it in pvp just like the heroic leap didn't work.

But... throwing bomb and stuff works in pvp. so does the Siege canon(s) thingies. why shouldn't heroic leap work?!

Warriors gotta get a new charge/leap just to catch goblins since they get a 20 yd jump and Worgens get a 70% sprint for 6 seconds. How are warriors supposed to catch a mage with blink, 20 yd jump, frost nova, deep freeze and ice block when you got 1 PvP trinket, charge and intercept?
Answer: Its not possible.

No, it was removed because it was buggy, and you stood the risk of falling through the world, just like using the steam rush ability in the vehicles in ulduar on the ramps when it first came out. That being said, goblins are getting a rocket jump, which is basically the same thing, so whatever the issue is, they seem to have fixed it or found a better way to do it.

Sorry, but the original quote had it essentially correct. Yes, you had a chance to go through the world, but that was a bug that could be fixed. The major aspect of it that they actually saw people using in Beta was indeed walljumping and exploring... something that could NOT be fixed without changing the talent completely (which would essentially have given warriors another intercept, which was nixed) or changing the entire world of Azeroth completely, which wasn't in the cards for the wrath expansion. So they scrapped the talent.

Well...

All races will have updated racials with Cataclysm, they should be similar to what the Goblins have. (Increased health/mana potion effects, etc ...)

Wait and see if your race gets a good pvp racial in the new expansion.

On the topic: Nope, it will not come. Warriors already got charge and intercept, no need for further "charge-like" abilities.
For the vulnerability: Warriors already have Shattering Throw (which might not be so good to use on a mage just for the vulnerability, rather for the iceblock )

I just got a strange idea (that will probably not work)

Heroic leap

"The warrior jump high up in the air to avoid combat and on the way down you can choose a destination to land and dealing XX% of attackpower and stun for X sec in a X yards area.
While in air warrior can not be hit by any attack."

EDIT: Forgot to add how many yards he jump up in the air. But it shouldn't be to high, 10 yards maybe and you can only target areas that you normaly could charge someone as if you was on the ground. So you can't get on top of buildings and such cause there would be no path avaible.

Heroic leap actually made it to live, in the pre-wotlk patch. but it got removed shortly after because people somehow managed to abuse it to exploiting. and amazingly enough, did they actually make feral charge for catform (leap spell) and disengage for hunters got changed.. into a leap spell. they didnt use their brains,
