Arena points for the arena hopeless?

Some guildies and I just started an arena team. Its mostly for fun and PvP practice as the team is a shadow priest, mage, resto druid (not exactly the ideal combo). We've only played a few games and our rating is abysmal (like 200 right now). Well after 1 week we got our 10 games in and earned like 300 arena points. I have two questions...

1) Right now every match we win we gain rating. Every match we lose does nothing to our rating. At what point will this stop?

2) What can we do with arena points? Every item that can bought with arena points (but doesn't have a rating requirement) can be bought with honor...

When you stop losing 0 depends on your MMR, if your 2k+ you will most likely start losing points (like 1-8) at around 1700, if its lower, like 1200, you could lose points as soon as 1100.

You can buy the best pvp gear with arena points, your just looking at the wrong vendors, they are in the sewers in dalaran, theres a few there so check them all out. They will show as red, because you wont have the rating required to purchase them.

Sub 1500 rating you will always gain 300~ points a week, once you pass 1500, you can earn up to 800+ a week.
