hardmode item question

is it possible to use an item that is 245 from regular mode and the same 258 hardmode version of that item due it having the same name would still be unique or would it count as two different items?

i think the "heroic" tag was put into the item tooltip to differentiate this.

It's an interesting question, but before answering I would hhave to know what you are thinking of, as I cannot bring any examples to mind.

ok i see what u r saying, i just wished that i had an answer for u, if i had to guess i would say that they probably not let u equip both.

When an item says "Unique" or "Unique-equipped" it means that, you can only equip one of these at the same time. Even though the "normal" and the "heroic" version have the same name, they are different items. Best indication for that is the item id.

I am 100% certain, that you can have both equipped at the same time.
