So, yesterday I pugged Sarth 3d ten man.


Got my nightfall achievement. We used a zerg strategy, and as long as no one stood in a void zone, and I popped my cooldowns as soon as I picked up Tenebron, it was literal faceroll.


Now I want Twilight Vanquisher.


I keep hearing that it can't be zerged, but I want to try it. How much dps is necessary to be able to bring Sarth down before Shadron makes him immune?


Is it even possible to zerg 25man?

sartharion has 7,669,750 HP on heroic. leaving any drakes up adds an extra 25%. means 9,587,187 HP. round up to 9.6M.

he goes immune after 85 seconds (give or take). 9,600,000/85=112,941 raidwide DPS. round up to 113K.

1 tank doing 3K DPS (big, but he is specced for DPS and such). means 110K split amongst the DPS. if you take 3 healers, you have 21 DPS needed. 110,000/21= 5238 DPS per DPS. (actually a bit less, since i rounded up 2 times. very minute difference, though).

if you can find 21 DPS who can do 5,238 DPS over 85 seconds (with BL ofc), then you got it. unfortunately, such good DPS are rarely pugging OS3D when they can do it in guild.

'Ya, I'm pretty skilled, full conquest gear yo, I can do anything'

'Random person who thinks that they are good because they have full conquest gear's DPS: 1.5k'

Make it a guild run with full melee setup. And only use 2 healers. Then I could see it happen.
