Well there good if your grinding them with guildies who actually know how to play.

But when you join a pug with noobs who cant move out of the fire or even do decent dps,
Well then the instances were long , hard and boring as hell. 2 hours in a instance with baddies so you can maybe get 1 item isnt exacly "fun" ...

But yeah i liked that they were to hard for the baddies.

First time i went to MgT we were an undergeared group. It was hard. We wiped a few times, but we stuck with it and got it done. Pretty cool.

Second boss, tank died and i (Rogue) had to be an evasion tank. I havn't done that once in wotlk...

I think the grapichal design of the wotlk dungeons are by far more awesome, the content on the other hand..

I really enjoyed that you had to farm rep to revered (pre-nerf), before you could enter heroics. And the mobs and bosses, had so much more "less facerolling" then the wotlk ones.
In all fairness, the wotlk heroics, if I go on my protadin, and bring one of the healers in my guild, it normally even doesnt matter if we PuG, its just chain pulling either way.

(Chain pulling was avaiable in the tbc heroics as well, but had a way higher "fail-rate" then wotlk).

i cant understand why t6 was so cooul and t5 (and even t4 i love it) and now strange looking, not heart touching lol.
plus i like bosses like Lurker or other shit that s not like illidan or arthas or any other mega lore humanoid (if u understand me)

and i remember trying to do steam vault first time.... cant remember was it heroic or not but we wiped... yea) thought after lil time it was fast runs like wotlks hcs

Oh gawd yes. I hated going to Slabs, worst place ever for a pug. I don't miss those days at all. They may be a lot easier now, but at least you aren't all pissed off from just doing heroics.

zomg the current stuff sucks, i miss the old stuff. Its not cool to be nostalgic, those heroics were terrible and boring also. You probably didnt farm every tier of badge gear back then or you would not miss them.

I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of cc now and then. But it sucked back when I was a hunter and our freezing trap sucked.

Some were pretty good, yes but most of you miss them out of nostalgy.

I'm sure most of you, who miss the TBC ones will miss the Northrend instances in Cataclysm too. I'm not saying they were bad and wish they'd just update all the heroics to max level, more choices is always nice

Well, I am only going to write my personal opinion:
Well, first of all, it had more "personal achievement" sticked to it, to enter you had to invest time into getting rep, and players who just turned 80, could not simply "change difficulty to heroic" and farm lewtz. I remember I farmed hell alot to get the D2 set, so I could prepare myself as much as possible for heroics.

I leveled as a feral. ca 6 Days after the Release i dinged 70 and a group of friends and myself tried a few heroics. Yeah i was the tank. On my first pull in Hellfire Citadel i just got PWND in 2 hits by this dualwielding dagger orc on the bridge XD.

Yeah but in the end. 30trys for that fiery dragon bitch! and then... def pala loot. Hooray! xd

They were different. I'm not saying they were worse or better, but I do find myself doing alot more heroics these days than what I did back in the day. Wotlk heroics are fun if you try to beat up some old records, do them as fast as you can, do some increadible pulls and all. Ofc this often doesn't work with pugs, but I'm mostly doing heroics with my irl friends.

Oh hey I was just thinking of this as I found the post.
Yea really miss old school heroics. The anti-baddies system they had was awesome, you had to grind rep to actually run instances, although it was somewhat of an annoying grind it gave me something to do :P
Now days you come across more people with free badge gear then you do with blues and greens, heroics are cake, and their not that fun to run, I just run the Heroic Daily everyday and thats it :P
And when I heard of the 5 man ToC instance I thought, cool this will be like MGT, nope, much easier >.>
