Duel vs death coil speced DKs

Hey,

a pretty shitty geared DK just OWNED me in a duel and i'm like shocked...

I have full furious gear with arp (40% battle stance) and grim toll 30k hp

He has deadly gear, 24k hp with like 2k8 ap i guess

He kept skill chaining me and death coiling from far away (3k uncrit), when i charge, he chains me and walks away with harmstring ... i wait for his bone shield to fade and i bladestorm his face, thats when he gets to 50%, then again ice chains...

While reflecting some of his death coils and charging every time it was up, i managed to get him to like 2% and then he won...

Fact is, i used my enraged regen, bladestorm, disarm, shield block, and he used icehound fortitude, death pact and that thing with 20% more armor

I don't duel often, i stick to BGs and arenas when it comes to PvP, but man, how can you beat a DK with furious (soon relentless) gear doing this strat

I know from the old days of pvp, Warriors i knew would carry resistance sets around, death coil wont hit a person with max shadow resistance for much ^^

PvP is not at all even attempted to be balanced 1v1
Duel a frost mage, chances are you will be kited.
pvp in general does not balance every spec against each other for viability in arena.

I laughed when I saw "and the thing that gives +20% armor" umm sorry bud there is no such thing. Unbreakable Armor sued to give +25%, but not anymore (it will again in 3.2.2 but that's not the point) and to counter "well that what i meant, he had that!"....You said he had bone shield, that's a deep unholy talent, unbreakable armor is a deep frost talent, impossible to get both.

PS like the guy above me said, blizz doesn't try to balance pvp for 1v1, hell they had such a time with even 2v2 they lowered its importance.

AKA SFrost2.0 (every spec that bumps up RP gen from Plague Strike and Chains of Ice)

Basically Unholy, but no Scourge Strike, replace with Chains and Plague Strike to build more RP

Since Scourge Strike's damage is now very low, 2pc T8.5 set bonus and stats > 2pc T7.5 set bonus and stats, etc etc

What? The only things that could sounds remotely like are IBF (Which you already mentioned), UA (Which a DC DK wouldn't have) or Bone Armor (Which you knew the name of before).

The warrior in the video doesn't read the whole dk Q&A which clearly states underneath the sentence that he was referring to.

"No, no, I mean that death knights are an anti-magic tank, which means you bring them out for fights like Hydross and curb them for Patchwerk."

I detect sarcasm on Ghostcrawlers' part so what was said in the video is not the way it was portrayed by Ghostcrawler.

Although the video is very useful for warriors dueling a dk and did anyone think that the dk in the arena match were just in better gear than the warrior and thats why he did more dmg?

He was quote mining on purpose trying to be funny - like the line "Warrior damage should look like that of Feral Druids, Enhancement Shamans, Ret Paladins and Death Knights" used as justification for DKs being really OP and "They can keep you snared - forever." with a video of him being kited without using Charge or Intercept.

But yeah, you have to understand that there are some classes you won't be beating, TC. Seems like everyone's already forgotten what it was like to fight, say, a Warlock as a Mage in TBC. And in response to:

I play a DK, and I PvP on it. Gotta say, you won't often see a DK critting 6k with DC in PvP gear outside of exceptional circumstances (Eg... Hodir buffs on a private realm), assuming you have more than 20 resi.

I asked a friend who plays a PvE DPS DK, he told me that with this PvP spec he was hitting 7k+ crit sometimes, assuming 7k is on 0 resi
