does that make me an @$$ ?

ok so recently myself and 10 others left our current guild and remade one. we quickly grew to 60+ 25 man totc ready raiders. so we had a spur of the moment on sunday and pulled together a totc 25 man, we didnt have enough people on at the time so we pugged 9 people from a scrub guild but for the most part were totc ready.
    l
like i always do, i go threw and inspec all the pugs, as my blood boils when carrying ppl. so i get to this holypally right, he is wearing hateful helm/shoulders, titan forge boots... and well i think you know where the rest is going. so right away in /o chat i make it clear he is not ready and should not be here and i get a /shrug we dont have many options kinda deal. so i stat hes not worth his slot, he gets no loot. everyone seems fine.

so we down first dudes and the plate healing boots drop -.- . 2 holy pallys in group. myself and the scrub. master loot says roll so i roll knowing either way they are mine. sure enough he beats me and they get looted to him. i watched him put and mp5 gem in them, needless to say i wanted to break some heads.

I topped heals at 37% ( 37% with 5 healers i know right -.-) and this pally was at 11%.... i walked out and /ragelog. so i get hauled down a vent channel and bitched out by a fellow guildie (lootmaster) asking me what is he suppost to do, he won the roll. so i simply say "ur a retard, he was not to get loot much less be here in the first place. count me out of 25 man pugs until someone with some sense holds lootmaster". anyways big guild argue later and 2 days of silence.

does this make me an @$$ ? was i in the wrong?

ps. after more inspection of this pally i come to find out he has not completed naxx 10 or anything above, and main spec ret, which his gear was even worse in ret spec.

This, on top of which, I would say yes and no. Maybe he just hit 80. In the end, he did win the roll.

Instead of being the guy that ridicules others because they don't seem to have knowledge, educate others and see if they are willing to learn. There is a drastic difference between a new player and a stupid player, they are not always one in the same.

In short, yes, your attitude was very much that of an asshole. Just because you think you're "leet" doesn't mean you get all the "loot".

anyone who can complete the raid without wiping the group deserves their spot. yes, toc is easy as hell but still might be challenging for someone with no gear and no raid experience. if he can heal beasts and carry his weight in 200s then i have a feeling if you two were in equal gear he woud be the one carrying you. basically he did the fight on hard mode and you did it on easy mode. why dont you try healing it in i200 pvp gear? give the dude some credit.

You are a dick, and a bad example for guildleaders/officers. It sucks indeed to lose some item but it isnt the end of the world. And healing meters says nothing so dont whine how bad the paladin is.

Basically what Thachamp05 is saying, is that if you get carried in a raid and you don't wipe them, you're awesome and everyone who did the carrying should feel bad for not being just as awesome.

lol dazline shatt halls look me up, im still in i200s outhealing 4 piece t9. . also he did not pull his weight as he was outhealed by a ret paladin. and if hateful belongs in toc 25, than im a monkeys uncle. obviously your the one being carried or u would feel the same pain, or must be a class with half decent itemization as i am having a hard time replacing naxx 25 gear. ( not from no drops but because of having to sacrifce haste/crit for mp5 on all new gear, and im not willing to do so)

Well-stated. OP, you acted like a fool, and I think the real reason was that the other pally was simply 'competition.' You lost on a roll and you've come here to QQ. Man up and get over it.

so what your sating is before i progressed threw all current raid content including os 3d 25 man (pre ulduar) that i should have just waited to be carried threw toc 25? well shit only if i knew that then.

as for the crying about loot, re read pls retard. it was understodd he shouldnt be there, im mad about being done wrong with a guildie not about losing a roll.

    @Lanceflex

no, what i am saying is that he contributed to the raid. if you didn't need his help, you should have kicked him from the raid and just 24 manned it. you needed his help, and he provided a contribution to your sucess. he has as much of a right to the loot as anyone else.

Re: does that make me an @$$ ?

to be exact we did 24 man it, short one dps, and ahealer that gets outhealed by a ret paladin. doesnt seem like much of a "contribution"

and if u read my first post, i asked for him to be gone, or get no loot cause of the carry.

Re: does that make me an @$$ ?

If he shouldn't have been there then kick him from the group and heal it with only 4 healers. Oh wait, you can't do it with only four healers? Then it seems to me he earned his spot in the raid. He was in the raid, he did his job, the group didn't wipe, he had every right to roll. And since he won the roll, he got the item

You bring him along, eventhough you know(think, in this case) that he won't get any loot. Basically, you're wasting his time. Yes, you're an ass. The master looter did the only right thing to do.

If he was getting out healed by a retadin the retadin was doing something massively wrong. You said this "fail" healer healed 11%. If a ret is healing more than that your group has more serious problems then an asshole healer who thinks his guild should ninja when your lack of members required you to pug in the first place.

Did anyone at any time tell him that he wouldn't get any loot? And he agreed to that?

Re: does that make me an @$$ ?

OP - Yes you are an ass.

    1) You stated in /o that he does not get loot. This was not told to him so he was raiding, believing he had a fair chance at loot.
    • Discuss it with the paladin. Tell them they may roll on maybe certain items but not all. If they don't agree then they are free to find a different group.
    • If you really needed them there, then they diserve the loot at an equal level as everyone else for the 'main spec' as which they are running the raid for (ex: Ret main but wants Holy gear. Running in Ret, does not get priority on Ret due to selecting Holy as main roll. In your case, the pally even speced Holy to help)

    2) You quit the raid because of one item. You showed a very poor example of leadership towards the group you claim to have organized. As a raider you quit your team whom may have needed your help as a healer to complete further encounters and get more gear as a team.

    3) You let it linger for two days? That is a poor show of immaturity and in a leadership position can cause problems. This is a game. Let it go as there will be another reset next week, 10man, 10man Heroic, crafted gear. I'm sure there are other pieces you could get to either compensate the upgrade. If not, then your piece was close enough that you should have passed anyways to better the group.

Pug or not, everyone in the raid helped complete the encounter.

Re: does that make me an @$$ ?

People are constantly coming up with all these "we said this person couldn't get any loot" "I do more hps/dps so I deserve item"
A roll is a roll! Use dkp if you don't like rolling, but otherwise just STFU!

The way you reacted makes you an ass, yes. It's that kind of reaction that often makes guilds split, or cause useless drama.

If it was to turn like that, you should have get someone else when you inspected him and saw everything, even being low on people, if you are retard enough to react like you did, you shouldn't get people who aren't experience/gear-ready for the content you're at, in your raids... It will only break the raids eventually, it's almost 100% sure.

If you don't want to carry people, especially not give them loot or else you'll /ragelog, then just don't get people in your raid that you know you'll carry... Especially when you see it BEFORE it starts...

And chatting a bit with the other holy pally before the raid could have done a HUGE lot to help that situation, too... Like telling him he doesn't get loot...

And also, I hate people who take advantage of their important position (tanking, healing...) to do that kind of /ragelog, and are proud of themselves after, like "Now they cant raid, I hope they realise their mistake..."... Hypocrit.
