Ingame addon is shit then. If I have 4000 gs and another dude in the same gear, unenchanted/gemmed for stamina shows up, we tie? That's crap and i highly doubt they're not factored in. Regardless, Wow-Heroes.com is a much better systemOriginally Posted by killarth

after doing 5 runs of reg toc i got 7 upgrades
3k gs- 3.5k
got into an ony 10 pug without enchants on any of them and only green gems in some

That's my gear.
CoE (or CoD depending on fight) > Immo > Conflag > Chaos Bolt > Inc spam.
(all with my imp out.)
I have been doing only typically 4k in 25 mans... Why?
I don't understand... Should I get the t9 4bonus? Help me, please. (I raid Destro, not demo as it says right now on armory.)

I wasn't flasked, it was a pug and I ran out. I know that I let Life Tap fall off, but I didn't think it was nearly as bad as it shows in the report. Is it because I didn't run a live report, that I just uploaded the log after the raid? Or am I really that horrible at keeping it up?
Anyway, armory's here - http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...n=Accdentprone
I've got the T9.5 helm, and will have the T9.5 pants soon. I've got the trophy, but ran out of badges. I didn't want to break the T8 two piece until I had the T9 4.
Any help is appreciated.

My armory link http://www.wowarmory.com/maintenance...age&n=Blueskys (looks like its down right now though). My gear is not bad as far as i can tell. I have way to much hit and not enough haste. Seems like being dps has gotten me pigeon holed in to hit only gear for some reason. But that will change soon enough.
I just started using World of logs the other night and not sure what im looking for to get my head out of my ass. Here is a link to the Toc25 we did last night. It only has 2 bosses on it due to me not remebering to start stop it at the time of the fights.

I'm very new to affl
Yay, first comment since I registered here!
But anyway, to the topic. I kind of need some help.
First, my rotation:
Curse Of The Elements -> Immolate -> Conflagrate -> Chaos Bolt -> Incinerate x4 and then start over.
I am currently doing around 5k DPS, not much over and sometimes under. Depends on what I am doing. Mostly in 25-man raids I sometime do around 5.8k dps, or more, and in 10-man raids around 5.2k DPS.

I'm in need of help. The reason to why I am posting about my warlock is because I have a friend that is just a little bit better geared than me and he is doing around 6.5k DPS. So I am wondering what I am doing wrong since I can't seem to figure it out myself. Maybe my rotation is wrong, I don't know.
Well my question falls in the categories of:
-You have no clue why your dps is so low (compared to other classes equally geared.)
-You want to improve in general
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...maul&n=Sorrowz
I've got a fairly standard cookie cutter build, and my rotation consists of Incinerate, Immolate, Conflag, Chaos Bolt, CoA (<60secs of life), CoD (>60secs of life), CoE (lack of dk/boomkin).
Feels like my DPS is running a bit low, usually 5 man stuff im at around 3000 DPS, and raid is usually 4500 - 5000 DPS. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if my gear isn't good enough, I'm way over hit capped at the moment, but that's just because of my current gear setup.
Really, you're on track. The fact that you had no flasks/pugged it/etc shows more that you're not fully prepared when you zone in, so how can you be ready to play to the fullest during the fight? A lot of raiding is about self confidence and expertise - experts spend a ~lot~ of time preparing for the big event so they pull it off properly. This is why the best dps always sound elitist - they're ~BUSY~, but most people don't understand and think its just skill.Originally Posted by Larivas
Read the last 6 or so pages for comments on movement and target switching, as your dps plummets whenever you have to switch targets. Basically, for a fight like Jaraxxus, Immolate the Mistress (long term add) but not the Infernals (short term add), and ~always~ maintain Immolate on Jaraxxus and Conflag him. Make a focus macro if you have to.
Another thing to compare is your Conflag Crit Rate vs your Pyroclasm Uptime. Conflag Crit = Pyroclasm Uptime, unless you are not casting Conflag at every single opportunity. Since Pyro is 10% lower than Conflag, you did indeed miss out.
You had no Spell Power buff, so that's about 10% damage. But you had some other issues as well.Originally Posted by pharsyde
You could have had 5 more Conflags and 4 more Chaos Bolts. I'm not sure what you were casting Agony on but that was a waste - it didn't tick fully, and agony requires a full duration to be worth it. You cast Corruption a lot, when you should only cast it while moving. In this fight this means when you get the Flames debuff or if you get raped by Infernals. If you stood in a better spot, the infernals wouldn't be a problem (they are also susceptible to Death Coil and Shadowfury on normal mode, as well as banish). Therefore you were either casting Corruption while standing still (net dps loss vs the main 4 spells) or you were moving too much. I recommend you figure out how to position better and make the boss work for you rather than you work for the boss. Every fight is different.
Your gear numbers are good, but I suggest you do something about that hit rating.
4pc T9 is worth about 200dps, so factor that into your numbers. I can't suggest what you go for, as you have two decent pieces already (Merlin/Nemesis).Originally Posted by Synced
Turn of Phase Shift so your imp gets raid buffs
Turn on "Merge pet data with owners" in Recount, if its not already.
Conflag more - you should always have more Conflag's than Chaos Bolts. This points to an Immolate uptime issue
17 immolate hits x 5 ticks per = 85, you had 71, so you clipped a lot. Try to let Immolate expire and watch your haste procs to ensure you do not clip it. The new version of Forte supports this.
Pay attention to your friend in raids, watch what he does and how he moves and how long he can stand and nuke. There's not a lot to a Destruction spec, but its how you interact with the game that makes a bigger deal.
Your gear suggests that you could do more than your friend, and your messages indicate that your friend could do better.
Your target dummy parse is spot on for where you have to be. You clipped one tick of Immolate, and could have squeezed one more Conflag in, but that wouldn't impact your dps too much.Originally Posted by sorrowz
Make sure your pet is attacking at all times. He's up to 1000 dps.
Consider that your numbers are self buffed without COE. Increase it by 60% to account for raid buffs, which puts you at 4200 x 1.6 = 6700, in a full 25 man raid properly supported with all buffs and flasks. If you are having a hard time reaching this number, then there are other issues such as movement or specific boss mechanics that you should pay more attention to.
Hey there all , just wondering if I may get some suggestions. I'm not really happy with where my dps is atm vs the other warlock we have in guild. Granted my gear isn't "as good" as his, but we're very comparable in gear, spec, rotation etc.

Obviously its a high dps fight , thats why I chose this parse to pick apart. Doing 9-10k spikes is great and all but its my overall Im really concerned about. Im almost always last on the dps charts. Not that its a huge deal, but I really want to be top 10. I look thru these and see Im clipping Imos - but idk if that really = 's 1.3k dps. Also I use corr to keep up MC procs and doom as my main curse witth CoA > 60 to die. I use FX & Omni CC SS of UI here:
Anyway any helpful replies are very much welcome - also here is a parse of 55/0/15 pre nurf ( imo my dps should have been WAY higher) http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/c...mw/details/27/
Thanks for your time!

One way to use WOL parses to review the entire guild damage done page, but only select you and your main competition:
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/s...?s=6692&e=7059
Check yourself and your other warlock guildie. See how at 23:50:30 you dipped really low but he did not? Ask yourself why. See how at 23:52:00 he spiked high for a decent amount of high and you remained flat? Same thing. Also the same at 23:53:00 where you went up and down but he remained constant.
I'm going to guess a few things:
1) You're slow on aoe on this fight. He can get the damage out and keep it up sooner and longer. You lag behind a bit, perhaps with RoF positioning or being overly concerned where you are standing. Watch how he moves and where he positions himself, and ask yourself "is there any advantage to THAT spot over where I am standing, and should I run there next time, or will proximity to him be a factor?"
2) You have issues on targetting/ramping up. At 23:53:00 you did ok on the adds but immediately choked once they died. You need to find a way to get back onto the boss without missing a beat. For example, target him while casting another spell so your next spell is already aimed at the right guy. Think ahead - where should I be targetting in the next 3-5 seconds?
3) Notice how at 23:54:30 during the kite phase he still did damage and you did not? This appears on meters. If you want to get higher, you have to always be hitting something.
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/s...?s=3174&e=3501
4) Much better in keeping in line with your peers, but at 22:54:00 you choke again. What happened? Why could you not aoe the adds? Why did you not dps during the kite phase? Ask yourself - where is my time being spent? Time is the only thing that meters measure accurately. The rest is RNG and your ability to press buttons in sequential order. If you waste time, it is more accurately reflected in your logs than the fact you clipped an immolate here and there.
@ gherkin Thanks for help, much appreciated. As for the agony i was tossing it up on the infernals and mistreses for a little extra help is all. And yeah im surprised i didnt forget more than that with trying to figure out how to get world of logs going lol. And yeah the hit is something im working on now. Been replacing stuff i have with more haste gear and no hit on it to get some other stats up there.
Thank you again!
Thanks very much for the input. Since we use the 1 druid tank on ANub & 1 warrior on adds strat we have to be very aware of where our aggro is on Omen. I usually wait too long to dps - just because its safer.Originally Posted by gherkin
I do have a tendancy to tab around and look at my threat on adds - and not immediately re focus the boss - that I can easily fix with a macro. As for 22:54 if I wasnt dpsing on the kite phase either the tank died or somethign else happened like a loose add off the ice patches or away from the tank - in which case I should have still been on the boss - but probably got distracted - Thanks for pointing this stuff out - because in the middle of the raid I know I dont really catch myself doing little stuff liek this which lowers my dps overall by alot.
FYI I was only behind by about 30 DPS tonight in ICC - so Im pretty happy with the advice atm

Hi All.
Any idea how much DPS a demo lock with 2250spellpower should be doing? :|
I think I've got rotations down fairly well so curious if I just need better gear to be pushing over 3k :|
Thanks!
