DK vs Pala. Which is best?

I have both a pala and a DK i havent played with for ages... Wondering if any of em still are OP today in PvP.

But which is most? Who crafts most dmg on shortest time and pwn in arena?

And why?

Palla is the better tank. (easier to play and has better mitigation)
DK is the better DPS.
Palla brings the better buffs.
DK currently is the lowest represented class in PvP.

Think that about sums it up.

Both classes have their (different) uses, so play whichever one you find most fun tbh.

I´d say DK there DPS is more sustained but Paladins got high burst.
In 2s when you kn ow when to time your DG paladins are controlled rather easily

Paladin, for 2 reasons:

1) There're too many dks already, taking a paladin wil grant a spot in dungeons/raid with less difficulty.
2) More buffs and more roles. With a paladin you can do everything, you just have to change gear and you can be tank, dps, healer.

Paladin, depending on what you want to do of course.PVE= On my server alot of guilds are looking for Holy Paladins or maybe Protection Paladins, but hardly any are looking for Death Knights especially not tanks. PVP= In PVP i've noticed a small amount of Death Knights.. not a huge one but there's so many more Priest Rogue/Paladin Warrior/ Mage Priest ect teams. Death Knights don't really have many Full on Defencive moves, Paladins can bubble and their immune for 10 seconds, where as Death Knights can only pop some CD's but can still be hit (except in the case of Anti-Magic shell where of course they are immune to magic).
I have played both at level 80 in PVE and PVP by the way, and much prefer the versitility of my Paladin.

If you're looking for an OP class in PvP, please don't play a Paladin. That's why most of them suck today.

I don't see why everyone hate's DK tanks.
I have a DK tank, and i do fine. better than most Paladin tanks on my server. I also Out-threat them when we have those just for fun threat races on Patch or similar bosses.

I also have quite a bit of avoidance/mit. when my Relic procs, i jump up to over 30% dodge, and i'm around around 17% parry... i avoid around 60-70% of all incoming attacks.
Sure, paladins might avoid more with their fancy shields, but it still isn't much of a help when you're only mitigating a few thousand of it.

I do agree, a lot of DK tanks are terrible, but if geared right, and done right, DK tanks are better than a lot of other classes.

But, you can't say there aren't a lot of stupid Pala tanks. i've seen plently that have NO clue what they're doing.

as for PvP, you'll have to ask someone else, because I for one am terrible at it.

Between buffs and the ability to play any role in the game effectively id say paladin takes top. Dk's serve a very good purpose, and i cant really comment on PVP, despite having 800+ resil, i got there as honor and voa lol.

Indeed, if all three paladins have more time to lose than the opposite team, but prepare coffee and biscuits before beginning the fight! ;D

Dk has really strong cooldowns and is a good for 1v1 fights, but a paladin has them beat in terms of versatility.

Paladins can fit any raid role as well as heal or dps in arena. I also think paladins will remain a good choice over team as Dks slowly get put into a more balanced position.

Playing a DK in arena isn't hard, per se. But it isn't faceroll, anymore, and anyone who says it is severely lacking in PvP skills.

totally didnt answer the question. He's looking for which class he can faceroll with in pvp. You dont want either a DK or Pally, you want a disc priest or a rogue. If you got with the pally, you arent going to kill a healer, if you got with a DK... well to be honest Im not sure why people are so down on DKs, they still hit like a truck and mine is just fine at killing people who heal too. Youre not going to faceroll with it though.

Since this is in the PvP forums, Ret is more faceroll (Not in how OP they are or not, just in how much ''buttonz'' they gotta use.) and DK is better if played right.
