Poll on Emblems of Triumph drop from heroics?

The current plan is to make Emblems of Triumph the "base" of emblems so everything that drops Emblems of Conquest would be changed to Triumph and then the new raid content would drop the new highest emblem along with things like the heroic daily and such."

The raiders will complain that there goes all the work they put into getting these badges for gear while the casuals will argue that they need better gear.

Me? I'm welcoming the change, just kind of makes me feel like I wasted all my conquests on this gear that I'll replace heh, but meh moar t9 for me

I Say No, they have plenty of other options. People cant always see the best gear, its not fair to others who earned theirs. You can easily gear yourself for ToTC 25/10, so why add the option?>.>

Casuals still won't compete with the current raiders since they will only be able to get the 232 tier.

Free tier 9 for casuals, raiders will still have it better, everyone wins.

tbh, why not? raiders will always be better and they knwo it as they have access to the better end gear and weapons, it just means that you can gear alts so much easier, as who wants to run that many instances with loads of alts, most folk just dont have that amount of time. will also be useful for raiders just incase a spot needs to be filled with someones alt isnt it better that they are in high lvl gear as opposed fresh lvl80 blues and greens.

This will be a huge leap Maybe bigger then conquest since you can buy every peice using only emblems besides people that put their hard work got the gear before others be happy for themselves. they were probly also raiding crusaders Colosseum before the casuals aswell. if changes like this weren't implimented then freshly dinged alts might very well not be able to get into ICC before the expansion comes out assuming you have the worst luck with rolls in raids.

Hell no. Why should naabs get icecrown ready gear easier than other ppl who actually have made work for it. If you want to see ICC, you must go thru Ulduar and so on. There should not be any other way.

I like it b/c I've had to go casual for the last 7 months due to work / RL etc...not fair that fails who can be decent in raid have better gear than me...when I know more about their classes and rotations than them...just sayin....I pay $15 a month too...I can have a life and look shiny also..

I feel that not only does this make gearing up Alts and new 80s easier. It helps depreciate the amount of illegal character selling that goes on.

The raiders will always get access to the most current level of gear, and this way, the casuals will always be one step behind, rather than having this huge gulf between say TBC heroic gear and sunwell gear. It allows people who don't raid to have a sense of progression in terms of their gear, rather than having new gear be a reward for making progression within the framework of raiding or arena.

I understand the frustration some people have about making it too easy for people to gear up with less effort, but I believe this is still a positive move.

I don't see how its very much different than now. I have run 10 ToC only once up to this post, but through the Heroic dailies and VoAs I was able to finally get rid of my T8.10 shoulders for the T9.232 shoulders (It still annoys me that my other pieces are T8.25 except the shoulders, and that my guild disbanded when I was next in line for the token from Yagg, but I digress...)

Even if it was implemented on live servers now, it would just mean this occurs more frequently.
However, I still cannot get the best gear without raiding 25 ToC. Besides, even with the better gear, without skill you will be booted.

I think that is my biggest reason why it won't be as terrible as some think it will be:
What truly makes good guilds 'good' is the SKILL of its members and raiders, not the gear.

(Yes, I know, skill can't help if you are only doing 1k dps, but I think you know what I mean.)
