Wandering Raid Boss Pwnage in Cataclysm.

Remember the fear you felt the first time you heard a Fel Reaver in outland? Well I think that parts of the world should be periodically attacked by a main boss of this expansion. These bosses would be unnattackable and unkillable, and you'd have a little bit of warning to get the fuck out of the zone. Huge devastation would be unleashed by these bosses, I'm talking sure death but no durability damage and maybe a little rez timer that's 30 seconds so you don't have to run back. Anyway....

Kalimdor-Ragnaros: Since Ragnaros is up on Mount Hyjal in Kalimdor, he'd have the patrol over that continent. Your screen would shake and he'd storm through the zone screaming his head off, leaving a trail of fire and death in his wake. The fires would remain there for a couple minutes. Also, any players who have the unfortunate luck to be within 100 yards of Ragnaros are picked up by him and singed to a crisp, then tossed back down to the ground dead.

Eastern Kingdoms-Deathwing: I believe Blizz has stated Deathwing emerged somewhere in EK, so he'd be the patrolling boss for this continent. Every now and then your screen would shake, and all around the zone huge versions of those rubble things (like the burrowed jormungar rock things in hellfire) would pop up. Then you'd see Deathwing fly over and all around those rubble things there'd be a big earthquake and players on them would get thrown across the zone. Deathwing would also go to random spots within the zone and pwonatize them with fire.

All Coastal Zones (Eastern Kali+Western EK)-Lady Ashzara: In addition to Deathwing or Ragnaros, players in coastal zones also have the chance to witness an attack by Lady Ashzara. Once again, the screen would shake and she would appear, standing still in the water near the coast of the zone. She'd yell something then summon a huge tidal wave. It would pour towards the interior zone and knock players 80 yards inland when it hits them. Perhaps after the tidal wave some naga guard elites (attackable, with about as much health as a cata-level fel reaver) appear around the zone and patrol around ganking players for a few minutes.

These attacks would probably happen every few hours. Pity to the person who happens to suffer a simultaneous ragnaros-ashzara attack ;D

why is it all so beautiful this fake dream
    this craziness why?

i think it'd be cool to have a boss wander around that's like.. the size of your screen.

Blizzard already confirmed that Lady Ashzara will NOT be featured in this expansion.

Deathwing is the main and final boss of the expansion. Why would he be wandering out in the open?

Oh wait... Arthas did it thousands of times lol

Let's see... Spirit Zone of the front of UK, Ebon Holde *Starting DK questline*, ToC *after twins die*, atop that platform in Zul'Drak... tons of other places lol
Still wondering why I play this game.
I'm a Rogue and I also made a spreadsheet for the Order Hall that is updated for BfA.

They did this with kazak{SP?} when BC was coming out.
I also miss outdoor encounters, even the griefers, gave realm forums a good read over the 9001 recruitment threads.

Re: Wandering Raid Boss Pwnage in Cataclysm.

I think there will be small elites in the higher level zones such as the Fel Reaver in Hellfire Peninsula and the Storm Giants or whatever in Howling Fjord, though these Giants seem less important than Fel Reaver because Fel Reaver was a new thing so adding more of these will just make the quality of them more boring

Whoanononono, I'm pretty sure they've confirmed that she will be, but she won't be the final raid boss or even like a tier-sized raid, just like a sarth or malygos or something along those lines. But if she's not in this expansion why do we get to go to her city and one of her dungeons, and a raid inside her castle?

How does something so FUCKING BIG AND NOISY move so GODDAMN QUIETLY?!

But, I do support the OP's idea. It'd be fucking AWESOME just to sit back and watch Rags pwn Kalimdor every once in a while.

remember my first char, was lvl 14 lock trial account, went to oggri and saw 1 big evil demonn attack everthing that moves or screams, the corridor was white from the bones from players and i got about 17x 1 shotted by a shadowbolt volley before i could enter oggri ow i miss those times.
i vote for those wandering bosses :P would be funny to have a raidwarning in ur screen with "suddenly its feeling hotter here" en then u got 1-2 minutes to clear out till deathwing put the whole area in flames killing all players in it xD

Blizzard has confirmed nothing about expansion patches beyond the opening day.

I don't get why you wouldn't be able to attack/kill them. I understand the bosses that you postulate featuring in these attacks are the end-game bosses, but making them invincible makes it less exciting and more tedious after the first 9 times it happens.

If you can kill it, or attack it to make it go away, then you'll have people sticking around to see if they can best the beast eventually. Kind of like the GM events from old school EQ.

Except for when he like, you know, leaves to cause the cataclysm, reshaping azeroth, and causing a hella lot of mischief all over the place.
But yeah, I guess you're right, that's too minor a detail to worry about!

This wouldn't be as common as a Fel Reaver. Let's see there's like 20 zones in kalimdor and these events would happen like every 3 hours, so that's not a huge chance

No. Deathwing left his own zone...because he caused the cataclysm. Blizzard has stated that Ragnaros is IN Hyjal raping the world tree. Have you read all about cataclysm?
