Why not have a shot that apply's a scent on the target. Something like a debuff that enrages your pet against that target.

For example: Blood Soaked Arrow; shoots a an arrow coated with blood at your target causing your pet to enrage dealing 20% more damage for the duration of the spell. lasts 10 sec, 15 sec CD. (or some amount of time)

I like this idea, however instead of an enrage, why not cause your pet to go into a frenzy and doing an attack similiar to the rogues killing spree, for all those who are rogue illeterate, here is the spell Im refering to :Step through the shadows from enemy to enemy within 10 yards, attacking an enemy every .5 secs with both weapons until 5 assaults are made, and increasing all damage done by 20% for the duration. Can hit the same target multiple times. Cannot hit invisible or stealthed targets. Instead of hits with both weapons, just cause it to hit 2x.
