    Common sense.

Maybe its time we make a list of all the things we hope and pray (and assume) everyone should know about this game so far. Things like:

    1. Fire is bad. Don't stand in it.
    2. Mob should face away from the raid.
    3.
    4.
    5.
    .......

keep list going. Because as much as I hate it, some of the simple things that cause wipes still elude most players.

Copy and paste the list as you add.

    No, just no.

Edit: To add something productive to the list, I'd say learn the rotation that is best for your spec.

    Re: Common sense.

some bosses shouldnt face away from the raid, like Auriaya, and fire aint always bad, like in the Hodir fight :P

I'd rather give one advise : " Follow the warnings in huge blue letters at the middle of your screen"

And add something for teh list: "Healthstones are good, use them."

You start rolling like a rock towards your opponent, dealing damage equal to 50% of your attack power, or 75% of your spellpower.
While rolling you do not feel pity or remorse or fear and you cannot be stopped unless killed.
When rolling downhill, damage caused is increased by 50%.

    3. if the boss starts casting (x) Nova, gtfo
    4. if you are pug'ing moderately hard content and you get an inv to the raid mere seconds after wsp'ing the RL gtfo or prepare to spend hours wiping on the first boss...

    1. Watch aggro.
    2. Notify raid if you afk.
    3. Check to see if you have your basic buffs.
    4. Deadly boss mods for PvE.
    5. Don't be afraid to ask questions, because ignorance can cause wipes.
    6. Don't need on armors that aren't proficient for your class. E.G. Warriors, Paladins, DK's wear plate. They shouldnt be rolling on cloth.
    7. When joining a raid or group, it is common sense that the endurance of the encounter can take up to more than an hour.

    9. Give more credit to that what the guy-with-the-crown-icon-above-his-frame says

When you right click on a target, the popup is ordered: Star, Circle, Diamond, Triangle, Moon, Square, Cross, Skull. Dunno why you'd assign an arbitrary order when there's one built in.

Edit: My common sense tip related to this is: Never make something harder than it has to be.

that may be the order that they are in on the list but in any raid or party i have ever been in skull is number 1 target i have never seen star first

Ranged dps should not be in melee range of their target, exceptions apply but not many.
