Druid in caster form casting HoTs while in Deep Freeze?

I, as a Boomkin, also seem to be able to cast meanwhile the boss uses Deep Freeze on me

It happens, actually. It's not some 'other' spell, it's just latency or something. I've finished fireball casts after being knocked back. Like, I am flying away on my screen, but my cast bar just goes normally (range permitting). It's strange, i get it a lot with priests and kidney shot on my rogue, and my druid partner gets it occasionally with cyclones. I'm not sure what it is, and I'm not always sure if the healers or casts go through, but I know my knockback-fireball always registers damage on my screen when it happens to me.

It used to make a cast animation when it proc'd; however, that was changed a few weeks ago and it now has the same spell effect as Revitalize.
