    Post ideas for new hunter abilities in Cataclysm!

    Exactly what the title says lol

    Sonic Blast: Fire a supersonic projectile at the enemy knocking them back 15 yd, dazing them for 3 seconds.
    30 sec cooldown.

    MM talent, gives your bullets/arrows a chance to apply Serpent Sting, and your other stings will no longer override Serpent Sting.

    My God, what a horrible creation. People seeing what they want? Thank God they tried to shy away from that. I know it pisses me off when I'm in an heroic raid, yet in the back of my head all I can think is 'some casual player is playing a heroic dungeon and not wiping.' -Vodkarn

    Wow, that's really boring.

    I'd go for camouflage. Or some other utility talent which needs setting up, like a new sting that "steals movement", i.e. the targets speed goes down by 30% and your speed goes up by 30%, and when you Chimaera Shot, the target is immobilized for 4 seconds and your speed increases by 70% for 4 seconds.

    Dunno, just thought of it now. Anyhow, a talent/ability with a little more thought needed.

    But it would fix a large problem with hunter MM pvp, with a nice added bonus for pve that you could viper sting while still DPSing at full strength. MM currently is horrible against any team with a poison cleanse because we cant apply our poison very fast at all.

    You've got a point there. Thought it was more of a generic "saves us from pushing too many buttons" change.

    I was thinking bringing back bear trap... I was looking forward to bear trap.. It's like.. the Hunter's symbol.

    Or.. The ability to make all traps ranged like frost arrow.. Just a thought.

    Pheromone Shot! New BM ulti
    30 sec CD 12% base mana
    Shoots the target with a pheromone laced arrow causing your pet to do 15% increased damage to the target. If your pet is enraged your pet will deal 25% increased damage. Lasts 10 seconds. Also has a chance to attract another nearby beast causing to attack your target dealing 40% damage from it's regular damage. Does not count as a sting and will not aggro the beast if it joined battle. Undispelable

    for survival :

    Escape
    60 focus
    5 min cd
    Hunter creates a copy of himself to distract target while going to stealth for 5 sec to perform escape maneuver.
    This lowers greatly aggro and wipes all moving impairing effects.


    idk it would kinda be like mirror image with only 1 copy + invisibility + feign death
    maybe give like 4-5k to hunters copy and after he dies he stuns the target for 2-4 sec

    for Bm maybe :

    Arcane Infusion
    20 focus
    1min cd

    Hunter uses Arcane Shot on his pet to infuse him with power of arcane. This effect increases pets damage by 20% for 3-6 seconds and causes pet to deal arcane dmg for duration.

    spell visual would look like pallys wings
    This + Kill command + BW = mini L&L

    I know that they are op but imo they are cool ideas

    Blunderbuss
    .5 sec cast 20 yard range
    The hunter draws a Blunderbuss and fires. Knocks back all targets in front of the hunter 10 yards and dazes them.
    The shrapnel causes targets to bleed for x% weapon damage over 12 sec.


    Power Shot
    4 sec cast with 60 yard range

    Bring back the days of 1 shotting Clothies from shadowmeld!!!

    also

    Minor Glyph of Bear Trap
    Turns all the snakes in your snake trap into BEARS!
    ya it would only be a visual change but it would be fukin awesome

    Aimed shot should be a 3s cast time again, and they could move 50% less healing to the bleed component of piercing shots or serpent sting.

    Cast time on hunter have no use in pvp, neither in pve.

    Lynx shot
    -3 second daze and cast interupt
    -90% weapon damage
    -gives caster (hunter) 20% movement speed increase for 2 seconds

    just thought, also at survial talent

    Hide (or camo)
    - go into a unbreakable stealth for 10 seconds
    - can't get hit
    - ifnyou attack you break hide

    I would put that near the bottom for survial tree

    Aspect of the Cameleon: The hunter takes on the aspect of a cameleon, turning him invisible when moving against a wall or completely stopped.
    The stealth everyone wants with a twist :P

    A new Fire Trap. When it explodes, it causes X Fire Damage, and it knocks enemy Players back several yards. It uses up the Fire Trap cooldown when used.

    I think this would be interesting, and would be a new way to keep melee back.

    Super feign death

    Instant cast
    4% of base mana

    Feign death which may trick enemies into ignoring you. Lasts up to 6 min. Your pet enters a state of improved stealth and returns to your side while this is ineffect.

    Aspect of the Dragonhawk beast with viper teeth and cheetah legs from nature.

    Combines the positive effects from all your aspects. Plus you can fly without being mounted.

    Aspect of the Orca
    Instant 1 sec cooldown
    The hunter takes on the aspects of an Orca, increasing swim speed by 100%. Only one Aspect can be active at a time. :P
