is merlin's robe bis?... or close?

picked up the pattern yesterday... probably going to make one... trying to decide if i should equip or ah it...

currently they are going for about 10k on my server... i sold a bejeweled for 6.5k...

so, how close to bis is merlins' robe for a destro lock?...

it ties with Skyweaver, if not minorly surpasses, at iLVL 245. 258 Skyweaver is BIS I believe.

Well if you go to lootrank and plug in the dps value of all the stats, then merlins robe comes in 3rd after the 258 pieces with hit not being relevant, unless those stats are or have recently been changed, theyre taken from the posted simcraft for the destro spec.

I think if I were you I would sell it, because you will likely get something better in IC very quickly anyway... But of course it also depends on how much gold you have/want.

Ties for BIS for warlocks. Skyweaver and Merlin's are so damn close that it really comes down to your personal stat weightings. Just pick either.

Second BiS for locks atm, reason that i didnt make it for myself (tho i got pattern x 3) is that ive got iLVL245 t9 chest, and ICC will be there soon anyway.

Stat weights are dynamic and vary with every gear change, they are not static like talent points.

Also, most people will never achieve a BiS gear list before the next content release. You are far better off knowing your current stat weighting and next best available upgrade per slot.
