Fury warrior winning 2 2hs in a single raid. (pug)

If there was a similar poll before - I am sorry. The search didnt cough up any results for me.

So a furry warr rolls for teh sword and wins it. It causes a very... very bad reaction among the ret pally and 2 dk's, as the warrior has previously won a weapon. The master looter replies that both weapons are an upgrade for teh fury fellow here and he rolled the highest, thus there should be no problem. A few comments followed describing the wonderfull art of pugging and the Loot Masters parents. I asked the warrior if he gotten any pm's and he said he put all plate dpsers on ignore list just as he received the sword. :-X

I play prot and arms so I'd like to hear your opinions on this one.

Personally I would only take the 1st 2h that I won. If noone else needed it yes I woudl have rolled, but its better if another person got the 2h after I have already recieved the upgrade. It will spread positive word of mouth for you and your guild, which will get myself invited into another pug again.

I would not defer to the DK or the paladin if I won. I would take both, unless it was a good friend who also rolled and got next highest, then I would pass.

DKs and ret paladins are a dime a dozen, and they are retarded. F*** 'em. I don't owe those facerollers jack s***.

You cant complain if some-one doesn't want to split main spec gear. It can only be considered impolite for them to take 2 2h's ( if theres no other main spec 2h users in group).

I have had a similar experience, yet not in a raid.
I were running ToC HC with my Fury warrior and luckily Edge of Ruin dropped. This was just when the Argent Tournament had been released, so I felt quite lucky and needed on it ofc, along with a DK. I won it.

After, our group decided to run ToC normal, and surprisingly Edge of Ruin dropped again! Being able to duel wield it, I of course needed on this too, despite of the raging DK. I won this one too.

A good day indeed.

I call BS, EoR doesn't drop in normal mode, only heroic.

Since you can pass loot within 24 hours, I'm sure the warrior could have let others re roll for the first weapon he had won then be happy with the second has.

Is the second going to replace the first? If so, then he should just trade the first to the next highest roll at the time. If he requires both, i guess his got as much right to roll as anyone else. It is a pug after all.

I didn't realize winning a main or off hand upgrade restricted one from having a shot at the other.

The warrior was in the right, the retadins and DKs get to cry a river.

The only place this could happen would be an Ulduar run so who really cares at this point, being that ToC raids only drop 1 weapon not including the polearms.

You have a chance to win everything, or lose everything, that is why it is a roll.

Unless an agreement was made before pulling that you could only get 1 loot or something, I see no problem with this.

It's a pug. If it's an upgrade for your mainspec, you have a right to it no matter how much loot you got beforehand.

Yea I don't understand the purpose of this post either. Both drops were a main spec upgrade. He rolled on the drops and won. Where's the story?
