Spellpower enchant for a prot pally?

I know we get enough spell power from stam.. etc.. etc.. My question is with the underwhelming enchants available for tanks how do you think spellpower on a tanking wep would do for extra threat?

No. Mongoose is best for threat. And gives mitigation (armor from agi) and avoidance (agi).

SP enchants were only good for us pre lich, it's all about actual tanking stuff now like a warrior

Accuracy is actually better for threat but, as you say, mongoose has other advantages too.

Spellpower helps us, certainly, but not to the point where we'd stack or enchant for it.

Correct, but if you are capped, mongoose is without doubt the best!

Any tanking-oriented weapon enchant (weapon chain, mongoose, accuracy, agility, blade ward, blood draining, heck even potency) is better than a SP enchant. If you put a SP enchant on your weapon in WotLK, you might as well put no enchant. It's a waste.

    Beastslayer or GFTO.

    ...

No, but seriously, go with accuracy unless you're hit capped, then get Mongoose.

Beauty now spawns with only two pups in Heroic difficulty. Not to worry though, the missing pup has been adopted by a wonderful, if not insane family.

I'm glad that Blizzard cares about the little things...

it's from attackpower and spellpower not strength...

-Consecrates the land beneath the Paladin, doing [8 * (113 + 0.04 * SPH + 0.04 * AP)] Holy damage over 8 sec to enemies who enter the area.
-Hammer the current target and up to 2 additional nearby targets, causing 4 times your main hand damage per second as Holy damage. (ap=weapon dps)
-Fills the Paladin with holy power, causing attacks to apply Blood Corruption, which deals [(0.013 * SPH + 0.025 * AP) * 6] additional Holy damage over 15 sec. Once stacked to 5 times, each of the Paladins attacks also deals 33% weapon damage as additional Holy damage. (did I mention? ap=weapon dps)
-Unleashing this Seal's energy will deal [1 + 0.22 * SPH + 0.14 * AP] Holy damage to an enemy,

Then Kavalir fixed it by changing AP to STR.

You were talking about spell scaling, they were talking about spellpower. (yay Touched by the Light)

What. AGI gives more EH but not more Avoidance. Blade ward's parry would do that. Also Accuracy would like to have a word with you on the threat topic.

There, now we can stop posting new topics in the Cataclysm forum altogether.
