Most annoying things to happen while tanking.

So, I used to tank off and on during Vanilla and BC. When Wratch came out I ended up skipping out on tanking until about 2 months ago when I decided to give it a shot again. Now I am once again hooked on it. It is the most stressful (and rewarding) aspect of the game to me.

However, I have seen some REALLY stupid moves pulled by other players that just leave me scratching my head. (Especially after you tell them how a pull will go and they STILL blame you for a mistake that they made).

The latest 2 annoying things happend to me in CoS timed and VoA 10 man. In timed CoS we had a dk who decided to charge ahead of me in the last stretch (7 minutes remaining mind you) and throw down a DND, all his AoE, etc while I was 60 yards away, than blame me for dying. (He did this a second time mind you).

The next was at Emalon. I told the raid to NOT go balls deep on the boss until I had him moved right and the OT had adds left. So of course the fight starts and before I even got a charge/heroic throw off some ranged dps crits him for 10k and gets 1 shotted on the stairs. I taunt the boss back to the wall and we clear him. The dps of course bitched the entire fight.

Anyone else have some fun stories, and or tales of annoyance from other players while tanking?

Prot from 20 to 80, nothing but pugs. They blackened my soul, face pulls, healers afk'ing during fights. Ninja looting of tank gear, by others that can use it very annoying. Wow, some mage actually had the lvl of douchebaggery to DE a Sun Eater in front of you for mats? I would have followed him for the duration of BC and made sure every group/guild he got into would know what kind of an idiot he was until he server changed.

i did ony 10 last night and as the tank was pulling ony to the back side our warlock and druid healer got cleaved, luckily though the druid had a SS and Brezed the warlock, still funny though.

As for annoying.....
little clicks for me are when say in ulduar 10 after XT having a tank on each of the 2 large pokeball golems, when you tank yours, the other dies and the other tank feels the need to taunt the golem, this applies to anything where there are 2 of anything....
just let me tank my damn mob...

That and healer DC's, but that can't really be helped.

EDIT: Oh balls, Warrior forums. Well, it's still a valid annoyance. Healers demanding vigilance would be my biggest annoyance as a Warrior tank.

when they use typhoon, thunderstorm, blastwave or whatever on the aoe pack. rly. there is nothing more annoying than that.

Taunt immunities on bosses... especially ones requiring two tanks to switch aggro between em.

the same old jargon, know-it-all douche bags healers in raids that proceed to explain to you how to tank when to taunt due to the above issue.... and then let someone die.

Oh, hafta add this in also. Helping people get gear from ToC 5 heroic. We have the 3 trash pulls from the second boss. I tell everyone burn order of Priest first (She heals, Mc's etc) and monk last.

We pull and I am not seeing the priest go down very fast. Monk dies first, priest second, etc. I think to myself "Ok whatever" as they pull the second group. we clear this the same way.

So before the third trash group I tell them again "Ok guys, Priest first as it will make it easier on you and the healer". (Who is not geared). I pull and they ignore the priest.
6 seconds later I get Mc'd and proceed to charge the hunter in the group, Shield block was up and my bash was off cooldown. Hunter gets 2 shotted lol.

Lesson of course, was learned also.

The most annoying thing to me as a tank is people not listening.

Me: "Okay guys I'm going to pull these mobs back and LoS around corner, don't attack until they get to me"

DPS: Think's to self, "That must mean run in and attack as soon as he pulls"

Me: "Okay pulling"...run out to pull and quickly retreat around corner.

DPS: "TRINKETS, FULL DPS NAO"...dead dps

I can live with the idiot druids/shaman that blow typhoon/thunderstorm. They aren't as frequent as idiot death knights that think it's funny to death grip the mob I am targeting away from me. I hate when idiot death knights are too stupid to not use frost presence. The excuse I usually get is "I like the extra HP and armor". Morons. I also really hate when those same idiot death knights pull out their army of the dead on a boss fight. If I could reach through my computer and knock some sense into them, I wouldn't bother, because it wouldn't help. Morons.

in vanila wow, when ali have paladins and horde shamans, on one of the world bosses, horde raid takes boss and they will kill him unless ali do something... so MC horde tank and giving him pala buble, priest die quickly but he has bubble and dont know what to do, so boss wiped the raid ale we could countinue killing him .... so for horde tank it has to be annoyng have buble and doesnt know what to do

When the idiot dps DK feels the need to use Deathgrip every CD while I'm tanking mobs.

Usually the same DKs that have the Scorpion saying macroed to /yell when they use DG...

And worst...hmm....it wouldn't be me tanking but healing on my priest. She's disc and as such, I make VIGOROUS use of power word: shield. So I put it on the tank(who's a warrior) and he clicks it off during the fight but I...naturally...think that it just got taken off from him getting his face fucked in. So, put it back on, 2 seconds later he clicks it back off. In party chat, he says "don't use shields, they keep me from getting rage".

Now, I'm no expert. But....even *if* pw:s keeps them from getting rage(I'm pretty sure it doesn't), there's still rapture...so....yeah...it was annoying.

And now you tanks know that it's not all about you and what people do that annoy you. Healers have to put up with more shit and we don't even get thanked for it, if we wipe it's our fault. So, you're welcome, jerks.
