Young Wolves have been replaced by Diseased Young Wolves.
Timber Wolves have been replaced by Diseased Timber Wolves.
Some mobs between level 1 and 5 that were hostile, are neutral now.

Ty for posting this, i was really hoping to hear more about it and compare notes

i heard about them the other night! and went straight to elwynn to look--yes i saw two of them around that big tree roughly across the road from the goldshire inn--no one had ever seen them before, i wonder if it could be a small detail that comes before an event--like how the boxes of plagued grain ended up on the small docks in the stormwind canal's before the zombie invasion. has anyone noticed deseased animals like this around the other starting zones?

Definitly smells like somethings on the way.

Oh, this topic reached my eye and I kinda had to look at it, it made me even more interested.
I am not sure, but these new wolves may be some kind of Worgen spies that have battled some angry NPC's? I am not sure at all!
Is it servants of LK? Or are they diseased by sorvants of LK? And where is this servant, please, make the q-chain continue, I'm soo gonna make a new char just to do this, going to have a look at some of the other races starting places aswell, first on the Horde side.

It is most likely so that in Cataclysm, Worgen Druids will get a mob to do their quest to learn Cure Poison on. Although it's at level 14 now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was lowered to 6-ish.

One thing that's new also, and I didn't see in the undocumented patch note listed, is the boxes in IF next too the training dummies. Me and my brothers hopped on our mounts and climbed the boxes and where able to get up to the top of one of the buildings, but the next day we logged in and they had removed some so you couldn't get up anymore.

They were re-skinned, true. And Cataclysm is, as you say, still a quite a while away. But really, apart from perhaps neutralizing these mobs, I see absolutely no reason to change them to diseased, unless it's for a purpose not yet shown. Show me an actual point of doing this, and I'll scrap my entire theory. Until then, I'm thinking Cataclysm.

Telling the OP he sucks and having casual/hardcore nerdwars is all MMO-Champion is about. No serious discussion can be had here since it's far too big to handle. Kinda like 4chan where they had to take down a few channels that were completely infested with child porn.

Anyway, it doesn't seem to far fetched that these wolves have something to do with the Worgen opening up their doors. Or PETA called and protested.
