Can someone help me w/ demo dps?

my spell rot is corruption-coe-immo-incinerate-incinerate... until corruption runs out then corr- when 35% or lower, soulfire-soulfire-soulfire.
my talents are the standard (mana feed, one point in master summoner, 3 in demonic tactics, 4 in ruin) and im only getting like 2k dps... what can i do to improve?

Correct me if I'm wrong I'm also getting shitty dps as demo, but you should use shadowbolt until MC procs then use 3 incinerates then back to shadowbolt.

thanks, but i kinda dont see the point of shadow bolt... when immo is up incinerate does more damage. ill try it though

you keep up corruption and immolate. slam shadowbolt until molten core procs. cast 3 incinerate. wait for next molten core proc. repeat.
when boss is low enough hit soul fire. when molten core procs and boss is low: PARTY TIME 20k SOULFIRE IN YOUR FACE BAMBAMBAM

no incinerate does not do more damage. and besides: shadowbolt keeps the +5% critbuff up.

This is wrong.

Unless specced for Emberstorm, SB hits harder than Incinerate, plus you're providing the 5% crit debuff with ISB.

There is no "rotation" anymore in specs, but priority lists. For demonology it goes like this :

0) Lifetap to keep the buff up (rank1 before combat starts.)
1) Keep up Curse of Doom / Curse of Agony (if less than 1min to live) / Curse of Elements
2) Keep up Corruption (with glyph of quick decay this needs refreshing more often than before)
3) Keep up immolate (with 3/3 molten core this now needs refreshing much less often)
4) If decimation is up, cast Soulfire (Shadowbolt to keep up +5% crit debuff if required)
5) If molten core is up, cast Incinerate >35%, just keep spamming SF under 35%
6) Shadowbolt spam

If Meta is off CD, then use Meta, charge/run in, immolation aura, demonic teleport/run out. Keep up corruption (for molten core), immolate(with new longer duration is more DPSC than soulfire), and your curse.

All dots have a higher dpct than nukes, except corruption (DPCT inferior to SF), but you need to keep it up for MC procs.

6,7k of personal dps on Saurfang inc (25 men raid) yesterday...

Not bad compared my average 5.5-6k dps before 3.3...

In inc with adds we have to learn the best way to take advantage of decimation proc before the boss come below 35%

When Immo is up, Shadow Bolt still does more damage. If you are doing more damage with Incinerate then I would guess you're 40/31 or something, which is not demo but Hybrid demo/destro.


Full 0/56/15 will do more damage with Shadow Bolt filler than Incinerate filler, switching for Molten Core as indicated.

Just a few easy steps.

Charge the mob.

/cast Metamorphosis
/cast Immolation Aura
/cast Hellfire

Repeat

I've never tried this in a raid situation, that's what I have Destro for. For heroics, I've broken 11k dps on mobs of 3 or 4.
