In the numbers, Affliction is better than Destruction atm, but it's so much about how do you like to play, which items do you have and which players you got in ur raid grp...

And for PvP it's hard to say because you didn't say do you mean 1v1 dueling, arena or BG?

Affliction has more meat to it. Destruction has more kaboom.
Destruction is easier to counter. Affliction is hard to play.

Pick the one you're better at playing.
