Can a Game master give you achivment?

Hello recently i got a buged achivment "Full house" luckly we frapsed so we double cheked did we do it wright,
so after 3,5 houars of whiping we finaly did it but didnt get achivment i made ticket, got an in game mail responce
saying they canot help me in this mather, so what i was wondering does anyone know can a GM if he realy wants to
fix this mather and give achivment to us since we did it? or GM canot give achivment and we have to do it again next week?

( I am sory if there is a similar post about this subject i coud not find it )

I've never heard of GMs giving anyone an achievement.
If there is a bug, they will look at it.

Game masters can give you achievements, but their in game logs have to show 100% certain proof that you met the requirements for the achieve but did not get it as intended.

A friend of mine did the conspediatory achieve with a 10 man raid a few months back, and had a random internet disconnect boot him off line when the boss was at something like 10%, by time he logged back in, she was dead, and everyone else in the raid had the achieve but him. He petitioned it, and i was standing next to him in Dalaran a day later when he suddenly dings conspediatory.

So i guess they could see from the logs that he was there pretty much right up untill the boss died, but offlined just before the moment of death and was back on shortly after.

Nop, while we were doing BGs, a friend of ine was after [Alter Valley All Star]. He got all the objectives marked but he didn't get achivement. He sent a GM request and said its a known bug, working on it, can't do anything, we're sry, bla bla bla.

No, my 10 man crew did "I'm on a boat" last week and after finishing the air ship bugged out and wouldn't dock, it also didn't give us the achieve. So we had to leap to loot the chest then leap to our deaths to get to DBS. GM said that the achievement system is hardwired to the game to prevent players from faking. He can remove them by rolling back your char to before the achieve was granted but he couldn't give us them.

So either No GMs cant give out achieves or this GM was lazy and made up some excuse to not do it. BTW gratz on Full house it's pretty tough making sure you have all 5 the whole time our 10 man lacks a mage so we couldn't stop the cultists from sacrificing to undead in P2.

I think it really does depend case to case. Our pally tank died on the server first kill of Algalon 25man and as it looked like it was almost certainly going to be a wipe she released, however the raid somehow managed to kill the boss and got server first achievement. Everyone but her that is, she ticketed a GM straight away however it took several days before they gave her the achievement, however as the story shows they can give achievements.

Nonetheless I am not sure if they are likely to pour through their combat logs for a mundane achievement which could be redone the next raid reset such as On a Boat or one like that.

I once got given an exploration acheivement for Hillsbrad Foothills because a character of mine got stuck and I had to petition a GM to move her - it happened while I was offline with the toon so I don't know if it was just that the GM moved my character to the last spot I hadn't explored on that character and the system gave me the acheivement, or whether I got it as a compensatory gift for being stuck behind some stupid terrain.

They can definately give you achievements but rarely do they, unless THEY can tell that you would have achieved it (i.e the one you mention you cant prove to them via game files), even then they hardly ever do

YES, game masters can award achievements if your statistics show that you have earned them. About 6 months ago, I wanted "champion of the frozen wastes" achievement on my alt warrior, when I killed malygos I was expecting to get the achieve, but according to the achievement, I didn't kill Mal'ganis. My statistics said I killed him 26 times on heroic. I paged a GM, they had me log off that character for 15 minutes, I log back on, and he had his champ of the frozen wastes title and achievement.

Reading through these posts, it seems really situational. Sometimes they can grant achievements, other times they can't.

Doing 5 amber drakes back in 3.0 pre nerf Occulus had One die (back then if you fell off and fell to your death you actually 'fell out of instance') and lost the achievement. GM's would not give it to him despite the other 4 of us having it.

ahh yes, i think that was during 3.1, that pach brought a bug to everyone where your Mal'ganis kill didn't count, you have the CoS cleared ach but didn't tick on Champ of the Frozen wastes but all you had to do is just kill him again which takes no more than 30mins.

we had 2 mages, one on caster cultist one on melee cultist, i ( tank ) was tanking the boss and ranged skeleton, we used rogue to brake shield on skeleton and tot me so i had agro from range on him, and coud tank boss, other tank kited deformed fanatic and melee skeleton. for 3 houars we coud not get the wright spwns eather the boss turned the mob on to last second, also we had to w8 for the wright spwns for 7-8 minutes so we woud eather lost focus and get overuned.

All in all the fight can be suprisingly random and frustrating spwns wise, but we did manage to finish it so we need to repeat it again next week, eh but what can we do we also did all the other achivments in ICC 10 heres armory link ...

Also even more frustrating is that on 25 man we did "On the boat" and didnt get achivment eather, this is more serious for me realy since it criples our guild progress.

So in one week we coud not loot gunship on 10 man, we didnt get full house achivment on 10 aswell even do we earned it, and we did not get Gunship achivment in 25 man even do we did this aswell.

The GM's you get when you petition are the frontline support staff. They don't even have active characters. They simply communicate with you through a chat interface designed around support. Giving them access to a great deal of information/macro's to help you. But all in all their actual "powers" are quite limited. These support GM's tend to be oriented in teams. The teams have supervisors who have increased privileges... and anytime anyone actually gets an instant result its most likely the supervisor doing it themselves.

That being said those GM's have little actual power. What does happen with things such as achievements/pets and other data altering situations is it gets forwarded onto specialized teams of GM's who do have those privileges. They then gather as much information as they can to make a decision and if they have enough evidence they'll provide you with whatever. However I don't know 100% that they've even built the facility to "give" achievements. I imagine they have since they can certainly take them away.

TLDR version. No the GM's you will interact with cannot provide achievements, items, pets without an escalation. Depending on the severity of whatever it is it might go to their direct supervisor or it maybe forwarded to a specialized team. Account-admins, item-restoration, character-data GM's (Not sure if they've made that yet but I imagine they have).

They can. Ive been on a offline private server with GMs, they told me they can so i was given GM status to test a few stuff. And yes i could give achievements, items, gold, pets, Anything

But the employees wont give you anything untill you have any kind of proof that you should have gotten this item/achievement.

Aight, to the poster of the post above me, private servers do not count.
But none of this quotation is true. They do have active characters, they can give out items, pets, achievements, but they do it without reason and they'll get fired. That's why they don't. Their powers are limited, yes, but not as much as you think. They can't take out trees from the game world, they can't .kill all players in Orgrimmar (despite what goes on in private servers) and they can't get free legendaries (or higher) but they can help you kill your bosses that get stuck at one health (Mal'ganis mainly), they can give you items back that you accidentally sold (or not accidentally) and they are not using some other staff program to communicate with you when you open a ticket. They do infact have characters.

It sounds like they just want solid proof for the fact that X achievement should've been awarded, but for some reason wasn't.. Like your evidence with your statistics or maybe their game logs..
