3.3, Titles, and no love for collectors.

Ever since 3.3, Blizzard has disabled any mods that automatically cycle your titles.

Almost every (actually, every) vanity item in the game has an achievement like the ones I'm about to list

25 Tabards - Fancy Tabard Reward

50 / 100 Pets - Fancy Pet Reward

50/100 Mounts - Fancy Mount Reward

Yet there are no achievements for having 25, 30, or 50 titles! Why not? Just make it reward a title like "____ of many names" or something similar.

Before 3.3, those of us with 25+ titles could display our love of titles by using mods that would constantly cycle our titles, but now we're constrained to one title that does nothing to show our love of them.

Is there ANY reasons whatsoever, to not have a title for having a lot of titles? Pet collectors get a fancy pet to show their pet love, tabard collectors get the same, as do mount collectors. Why can't title collectors get any love?

I remember reading something about the mods that changed titles were causing lag problems for people, not the ones using the addon but people around him. Don't remember why and have no source, but I bet that's the reason if I am not talking complete bullshit here now.

I don't care about the best title, I just love titles. Same reason people love pets and tabards and mounts. It's about vanity. It's not about the size of my e-peen, I don't want to show that I'm the best in the game by having Death's Demise, I want to be able to show my love of titles like tabard collectors, mounts, and pets are able to. The amount of downloads pre-3.3 title swapping mods have is a testament to the amount of people that are part of this title-collecting community.

i collect golds, can i get some gold for having so much gold? you know, something to allow me to really show my love of golds?!

On my main I have upwards of 16 titles, (last I counted) 79 vanity pets, 15 tabards and 75 mounts.....out of all of those I use 1 title, at most 3 vanity pets, 1 tabard and 1 mount.

Well why have them you might ask? Well for myself. I like knowing that one day I can be a Seargent with corehound pup and an explorer tabard on a red proto drake and the next day be Hallowed with a black whelpling and my guild tabard on white polar bear.

OR!!!! you can manualy swap your titel every 30 min ! <== tbh thats your solution (unless they put a cd on it .... you never know)

That's you. There's a mini-community of COLLECTORS. C.O.L.L.E.C.T.O.R.S. out there there like to collect things. Pet collectors get a pet reward for collecting them. Mount collectors get a mount for collecting them. Tabard collectors get a tabard for collecting them. Why do title collectors get no love?

Ah, my bad. Sorry, but there's no banks that actually give you interest... Might be a little game breaking. Money isn't something collect, it's something you use.

Mounts, sure, you use, but they're all the same (within their tiers, of course... the rewarded mounts from the collecting aren't even good mounts.) So they're still considered a collectible item.

Pets, tabards (pre WoTLK) and titles, you use for nothing other than vanity.

Said addon would be banned because it equates to botting. It's having a part of the game automated for you, and while it doesnt seem like something major because it's only your title, it IS against the terms of service.

More whining from someone that is more interested in how they look, then how they perform. The downfall of scociety. If it doesn't help me tank/dps/heal, I couldn't give a rat's left dangler what the hell it does. Nor do i need it clogging up my UI/bag space. That is just me however. I acctualy have fun paying the game for what it was in the begining, killing shit.

Takes me all of 4 seconds to hit C, scroll to the title I want, and hit C once more. Guess that is pretty hard these days.

You already have an absurd amount of pointless ingame items that only serve a function of making you stand VERY slightly out in a sea of people, and you want MORE? Holy hell...

and now think , why would they bother with it ....
you like your titels ? thats fine , awsome , gratz on all 25 of them
but dont come saying you should get helped with it cause tbh its your thingy , wanne have them swapped over every now and then ? then do so

I've raided everything from Molten Core, AQ40, and Naxx 40 5 years to ago ICC a week ago. I perform just fine.

That said, not everything in the game is about PvP, PvE. I understand it is called World of WARcraft for a reason, but look at Dalaran for example, it has tons of shops that sell nothing other than RP gear. And RP servers? That all has nothing to do with raiding, it's all about having fun.

Changing my titles every 4 seconds WOULD however, hinder my performance. The time it would take to bring my character window up, scroll through my titles (many, of course... why else would I start this thread?) and click a new title is all mouse clicks I can use to heal the raid. The mod did it automatically. But constantly changing titles was annoying to everyone who saw it. It would be far better to create a title for having titles. I say again. Titles are a great collectors item. Just like pet collectors who get pets and tabard collectors who get mounts. Give us a title.

Go look at the amount of downloads the few title mods have given. There's a fair sized community. It would take all of 5 minutes for an achievement like this to be created.

I'm not wanting the mods back. I'm wanting, as you said, the Schizophrenic title. I want to be able to show my love for titles, by using a title that indicates I have a lot of titles. I'll keep saying it. Pet collectors show this love by using their skunk/li'l fawn. Mount collectors show this by using the Albino Drake or Dragonhawk, and Tabard collectors show this by using their Tabard of the Achiever.
