Deterrence is so epic when something goes wrong with tankage. Distracting Shot, Disengage, then Deterrence right at the end has turned a few 1-3% wipes into epic kills.

Back before it was changed, at least as a NE Hunter was Shadowmeld, followed by an Aimed Shot, but FD has become my favorite to use as of nowadays.

Deterrence, Disengage and Feign Death are simply awesome ;D
But none can stand... a target who gets out of your range in PvP, DoTs tick him under 20% and... BANG! KILLSHOT!

Counterattack!

that skill is so unreliable, and it's so bloody rare, that when it actually procs I'm in fact excited!
When it procs it's very nice, being unstoppable, and rooting them for 5 long seconds and all that.
Of course, it's likely one of the worst hunter talents (I know, but I specc it despite better judgement) just because it works on silly low parry rating.
By the time it procs you should either be gone or be dead...
Utterly useless in pve, and in pvp it's just so rare.

If it would proc more (more parry for example Ghostcrawler, not LESS), it would be a hunters lifesaver melee would learn to hate.
Melee hating something is worth winning this pole in my book!

Where did I put my monkey glyph?

I just wish it would have a slightly longer window to use. Too many times it's suddenly popped up and trying to use it against something like a dk and it greys out again. Always had this problem though, I have to get used to it again I guess.. I was PvP MM for a good while that was, against all logic, turned me into a pvp crit monster who seemed to survive longer than Survival and I was Survival before it became cool and Wyvern Sting had a cast timer.
