Give us an ArP tax while in prot spec.
Cap the amount of damage shield slam can do.
Add a higher chance for our stuns to miss against PC targets.
Win? It seems fair. None of those would really effect pve at all.
id prefer the warbringer nerf..
that wouldn't effect pve how?Originally Posted by Idaho Immortal
Eh, it's already got a cap as it is.Originally Posted by Anuibus

and the real soultion would be to make arms better than prot...
Blizzard fucked up with T10 anyway, who the hell made them put 20% shield slam dmg on it? I mean cmon, I play Prot and even I can see it's rediculously overpowered and obviously directed more towards PvP (If it was for PvE it would be something without dmg like no rage hero strike or something for aoe). We don't need dmg we need threat and while they are linked, I prefer an increase in the "additional threat" area than the dmg.
Arms is really good as it is now, making it BETTER than prot where prot stands right now... 10k MS, bladestorm swings for 7k? How can you even justify that, warriors have been the great in pvp for 7 seasons, all the sudden one nerf comes in and you all bitch and moan about a spec half you don't even play past 1900.
Where can i get that 10k MS? If pvp gear has so much more str and arp than pve gear, i should start doing arena i guess.Originally Posted by jkl628

when I said 10k MS's and 7k bladestorm ticks, i was referring to increasing arms damage to what a previous poster said to make arms > prot.Originally Posted by Astray
I've been playing as a warrior since Vanilla, 4-5 years now. Playing Battlegrounds, Arena since its inception (and PvE end game raiding).
It's never been as bad as it now is for warriors, especially in PvP. They started with an ambitious plan to make all three specs pvp viable. Given fury's initial OP, it needed some nerfing, all sensible warriors were in agreement. They went from trying to balance it to rendering the spec useless for any meaningful pvp. They couldnt even create a glyph that removed the beserk dmg penalty...
Arms PvP: started the wotlk season with being a kitty hitting people with a pillow. But fury was OP at the time so most warirors went for fotm (I didn't). I went prot instead. Good knowledge of other classes and their weaknesses coupled with lack of knowledge of how to beat a prot warrior gave me the upper hand.
Arms PvP finally got some boost and became viable. Warriors reached a 10% arena representation for the first time in WotLK. Instantly the forums were flooded with "nerf warriors" threads. Instead of realising that it was the combination of other classes who could produce double the amount of damage and burst that warriors did, no, arms received the biggest portion of nerfing (Dks also got nerfed eventually pretty hard).
The end result, Arms PvP (and DKs since I mentioned them) are now a footnote in PvP. Arms is used as TARGET PRACTISE in BGs and in arena I'm starting to feel that "hitting with pillow" effect again. All of a sudden "everyone is happy".
And now? Good prot warriors found ways to make prot pvp work and prot pvp was put on the "nerf me bandwagon" raidar. What is the first thing blizzard decides to do? Let's destroy the trademark prot pvp move - the warbringer.

Sooo lets nerf prot wars just because 1 of them is top1 in the world. >
Idiots can only QQ about prot wars, they cant even pwn them when they are wearing 40 resil.
P.S
Warbringer isn't OP.... it's as OP as a druid keeping u rooted / cyclowned or a frostmage slowed / rooted and warlock seduce / fear / dazed / skillcoiled =). Anyways blizz doesn't play this game so they have no clue =)Originally Posted by Idaho Immortal
