The easiest three to hold in Arathi Basin are LM, Farm, and BS, because the flags at Farm and BS are closer to LM. This is the "Horde advantage" but I must emphasize it is very small, so small it should not play a factor in 99% of games.

Ally does have a large advantage in AV. If AB was changed, so should AV. Personally I enjoy that these battlegrounds aren't mirrors and wouldn't want either to be changed. Horde has a small advantage in AB, Ally has a large advantage in AV. Overall this favors Ally but I don't think it's so severe that five year old battlegrounds need to be changed.

Also, if you're Ally and want a decent chance of winning AB, queue with 2-3 friends and stick together. It works. The toon I PvP on Alliance with has 46 wins and 22 losses, and that's with group queueing only about 1/3 of the time. Edit: The same can be done with AV for Horde. Horde queueing in a group of 5 and backcapping towers can be devastating. This game encourages meeting people and playing together so don't QQ if you're anti-social in an MMO.

Also the main reason Horde wins AB is they don't have three or more people sitting at defended nodes, which is what most Alliance want to do in /bg chat. A group of five Horde will, 9 times out of 10, beat the three Alliance and take the node. Similarly, when one Horde defends a node, and three Alliance take it over, the same thing will happen - five Horde will show up to defend it and will either do so successfully or assault the node shortly thereafter. Simply put, Horde stays in larger groups. It works. This is exactly why Ally queueing with a few friends and doing the same has success.
